Trust funds are not under any guardian's control. More like a bank which keeps on giving a fixed amount to the kids whenever they want once they come of age , but the whole control is only when they reach the stated age in the documentation. So , like Harshad and Alya don't need permission from any other adult to draw money from their trust fund but they cannot control everything till they reach particular age.
I don't know Noyonika is taunted to be a monster, she favours Harshad a lot and it was even indicated by Manik- I really don't know. Could she have played the young misguided ,isolated Harshad against Manik , to control her son. She became Harshad's cheer-leader so that she can always peg her child down, and Harshad has now gotten carried away with all that.

But, how is Alya so immune to all this then? She was obviously close to her brother in the past, and even if she didn't go through what her brother (and perhaps Manik in another way) did, she would have had scars from that time too. But nothing I've seen of Alya so far gives me that impression. 😕

So basically apart from Nandini , Dhruv is the only other guy who cared for Manik. The memory of young Dhruv saving the child him is so ingrained in Manik's head, no wonder he was so protective, caring , guilty and all obsessed with Dhruv. So much sense.

I think it's because Alya had Fab5? I really can't understand when did Fab5 originate..when they were 7 or in 7th standard? Maybe she had her own bunch of girl friends and she wasn't that isolated? The accident really did isolate Harshad hence making him vulnerable to any and all force from outside or his darkness from within. Alya was saved from it because she wasn't a part of any trauma like the accident and maybe made peace with her orphan state. Then Fab5 happened and she got her safe zone...Harshad and Manik lived in the danger zone, their childhood was spent there.

Maybe the hate for Manik in Noyonika comes from her issues with his dad. She see him the symbol of something unwanted. That is why she enjoyed putting him down and took her anger , hate on young Manik. Probably here is , she sort of became the mentor figure for Harshad and instilled misguided confidence in him, told him how the whole blame is Manik's and basically turned him into a weapon against her own son.
But now since it's long , she is not that concerned about their equation, difference begin Harshad has taken on the role too zealously, perhaps to impress his mentor, the only woman who trust him . Maybe this defeat at Musicana against Manik infront of Noyonika truly pushed him over the edge and hence the mad rush for revenge.

Totally over thinking it!

Ohkayyy. I get it now.
Noyonika must be one effed-up woman if she played these sick games with her own child. No wonder all of them hate her so much.
I actually can't wait to her track to finally begin. She'll be the toughest adversary for them, and all these problems now are just a way to toughen them up for that ultimate challenge.

Unless we get pushed into some extra-terrestrial hole, that is. I want to shut out freak meteor showers from my mind.

Noyonika has a type and its not Alya, so Alya was left to her own devices. Or maybe Harshad used to visit Manik and thats when the abuse started, probably noone even knew of it. But it would totally explain his behavior, a lot of abusers have been abused in childhood themselves. Like I said, I dont want to go there but it kind of helps to understand his behaviour and problems.

at this point we can only assume because the third and the major factor of their disturbed childhood, Nyonika, we don't know anything about her. The way Alya so definitely said, "No one can be more horrible than Manik's mom", it so means that locking up Manik in the store was a common thing for her. I agree with Bushy..Manik's fear for darkness comes from the way he was treated as a child than him being part of the meteor shower accident (MSA)
