Like I've always maintained Manik and Nandini have never shied away from proximity. Even when they barely knew each other and could hardly stand each other, they were always so into each other's personal space. Whether it be wrestling in the mud or desperate hugs, they always felt at home in each other's arms.

Now even when Nandini is reeling from heartbreak and wants Manik to give her answers, she knows that the one thing that can never deceive is their need to be close to each other. Manik could have faked everything; his fears, his compliments, his sugary words but she knows that the one thing he couldn't have faked is his physical reaction to being around her. His instant quickening of breathe. His arms going about her. Their hands entwined. There are somethings you can't fake.

The precap raised a lot of questions. But mine is whether they are giving up, giving up the pretence of hate? Giving up the little charade that they've been playing of staying away? Giving up their act and understanding that they cannot be apart? Or are they giving in to their primal needs? Are they giving in and shutting off their brains? Are they giving into the spark that sets them ablaze?

PS- I'm so sorry if I don't reply to all your posts. I'm literally juggling between IF and my text book. But I read each and every one of them and heart you all.

I want them to be giving up too. But I think it's a bit of both. They are young and in love after all.

And I <3 you.

I think it's a bit of both. They're giving into desires but they're not gonna give up with each other until they get their answers etc.

@Bolt agree with you all. And heres to your answers:

I think it's giving up the pretense of hate. It's for them to realize that whatever be the status of their equation , they are together in it. He cannot hide behind his cheap lies to mask his feelings for her, she knows his touch has always told her the truth. This is about them in the moment with her trying to coax him to give it all up, whatever chains him from accepting what they have and just take it all in.

Sparks , primal needs are all part of the game but her holding him back is telling him that there is no going back. Alone , they will always be like this and that is there reality. New day, with others they will go back knowing this truth but continue living a lie.

I think it's a combination of many things. Nandini is looking for answers. Manik is a stubborn ass, and she can see that the only thing which gets his defences down is her touch. Then they miss each other, the comfort of the other's touch- it's so instinctive for them now.
I think it could have started as Nandini's plan to get him to spill the truth, but then probably escalates into something more intimate and genuine. And his reaction to her is going to give her all the assurance she wants. No words needed.
But man, the tenderness. The way they look at each other. *slayed*

P.S- Good luck for your exams! Fan-girling and exams are such a terrible combination. Sympathies.

Maybe just for a moment they give up while giving in, maybe for a moment all the answers they need are in each other's touch.

It is very tough for proud people to realize, understand and express what they feel. Remember what agony Mr. Darcy suffered when he fell in love with Elizabeth in 'Pride & Prejudice'? ...Same is the case with Manan. It is not that they are unaware of what they are feeling for each-other. It is there all the time - in the eyes , in the touch and at the back of their heads. And when you want to hold back such torrid emotions for someone , it becomes very difficult to even look at that person straight in the eye . And it is showing clearly in the Manan equation... please fight with me or else I would have no option except pulling you into my arms... such is the passionate play of the heart. It rules you , not vice versa,
A woman's refusal is maddening -when she refused to take helpwhen he offered his hand
We can see where this dangerous emotional restraint and clash of titanic egos is going to lead Manan... towards a boiled up fight which will result in an angry instense confession of feelings. ...soon... pretty soon.
A woman's refusal and pride sends a man rolling into all mad directions. Am I right?

Absolutely. She's confused and frustrated that he doesn't give her the answers she wants. She can't understand why he's always around her when he claims that she means nothing to him.

Which side does she believe? The venomous words he spits out? Or the quick sharp breathe he takes in when she's close? The lies he tells so convincingly? Or his darkening eyes filled with emotions?

They're giving up. They need a break.

You're absolutely right. It may have started out one way. But the way they look at each other, the way she holds him back and the way he just holds her... there is no deceit in the touch they share. There never can be.

PS- Bae let's not even. T.T
