My first ever post on this forum! I'm in love with Manan so I thought of converting one of my original OS into a Manan version... It was originally on Astha and Shlok...not proof read after edits...so pls ignore if any mistake!

The Feelings Were Mutual
"Would you like some chocolate shavings on your cappuccino mam?" The waiter asked Nandini but she refused politely.
She continued to dig in her molten lava cake while a pair of eyes stared at her continuously. Manik couldn't tear his eyes off her face. So much beauty, so much innocence. He couldn't believe a 21st century girl to be like this. The women around him were nothing like her. They all had too much attitude, throwing themselves at him and showing off was their favorite past time activity. But this was a different case. She was the different case. "Sir? Why aren't you eating anything? You first ask me to come with you for a dinner and you aren't eating anything?" She asked him curiously "Eat fast sir, we have to discuss important details of our new clients!". Manik couldn't control the smile that was coming on his face. She is such a kid! Her mouth was completely covered with chocolate and she doesn't realize. Nandini in confusion, getting self conscious, asked " Wh..what happened sir? Why are you smiling like that?" She was confused. There were only rare 'occasions' where he would smile. And getting that from him was a very rare thing. She still looked at him, while he continued to stare at her giving a soft smile. He looked beautiful when he smiled. She stared at him shamelessly . 'What are you doing Nandu!? You're not suppose to have a crush on him..he is your biggest enemy..yes that's right! Enemy! Makes me work so much...but he is a good person, handsome...dreamy an... STOP NANDINI!' She thought to herself, but with all her effort tore her eyes off his face, his smile. She composed herself, She made a straight face and looked back at him... But his smile vanished now, and now had a different expression...'what did that mean?' She couldn't understand what his expression meant. Lately he has been confusing her with his behavior. Smiling, and looking at her during office hours from his cabin, calling her into his cabin for no real reason. Nowadays he gives her the 'expression' she didn't understand. But she was angry at herself for reacting to him like a teenager with all the blushing and stuff. Nandini was a grown up woman now...but still a kid from inside.
It had all started when Manik started experiencing new "feelings" that he didn't "feel" for years now. But this dynamite had made that possible. Her beauty and innocence being the reason. Never did he ever stare or smile at anyone so shamelessly in YEARS now. Never did he feel good about himself during those years. After Alya had left him, he too locked his heart somewhere. "No heart + No feelings = Peaceful life" was his equation that he followed for all these years. But then she came into his life. She had joined in his office to work but little did he know that he would make his life work, again. She had been a normal employee, but the happiness she spread to the ones around her, started to bring changes in him too. All were very scared of him since the only thing he did was shout at his employees for no reason. Once he had called her to his cabin, and before she left after hearing his instructions, she turned to him and told " You are not a bad person... You just portray yourself like that. I don't know what the reason is, but I'd just say bury your past, make your present a happy one..". He was shocked. How could she know that? "Why do you say so and how can you be so sure it has something to do with my past?" He asked her curiously. "My heart says so..." And she left his cabin. After that day, he had changed the way he looked at himself. He looked at himself everyday in the mirror and felt...young. Everyone was shocked to see this change in behavior in their boss but were happy that they didn't have to face his anger everyday. Nandini herself was shocked, but he knew that she knew she was the reason behind that change. Every now and then he used to look at her, and always saw a blush creep up her cheeks. He noticed her fighting with herself many times to calm her blush down, and he loved that. He even noticed that she used to stare at him many times, and was caught too, but he chose to ignore it since she would get embarrassed.
Nandini started liking this new Manik , and she knew it was after that day when she spoke to him in his cabin. She was happy she could do what someone else could not do, to THE Manik Malhotra . She was happy. She always felt him staring at her, and all the butterflies would end up in her stomach and do all types of dances.
Manik had loved the fact that she never looked at him with lust, like all the other women did. Her eyes held innocence. When did that staring become into liking, he himself didn't know. He felt happy. He was so happy that he had even cried once looking at himself, what he had done to himself in those years. He knew Nandini was the one who could set his life straight. And after that day, he had made it a point to tell her in the nearing days what he felt about her, he wanted to take it slow. He wanted to win her heart first.
Present
He got close to her, and he lifted his hand towards her mouth, and wiped the chocolate off her lower lip. She stared at him in shock, and then reacting to his action by closing her eyes. He loved it. She was embarrassed at what she just had done, and the way she reacted... She was embarrassed and started looking here and there. And to avoid awkwardness, she asked him" S..Sir... Do you want some?" She asked moving her cake in front but he simply chose to ignore, and licked his thumb with which had wiped her lip. "It's nice..sweet" he said still staring at her. She gasped at his action and did not look at him after that. Their dinner went so fast, they discussed about the new client, when she still found it hard to concentrate. "I'll take my leave now" she said standing up " it's okay, it's too late, I'll drop you to your apartment and I won't hear a word" he said, ordered, and got up to leave. 'Im surely going to die in that car with him... Alone.. Nandini, you're dead today!' She thought to herself still embarrassed. They're car journey felt longer then usual. The air for Nandini was filled with tension but Manik was enjoying this side of hers. They finally reached her apartment and Nandini literally jumped out of the car as soon as it came to a stop. "Bye.. Thank you for dropping me sir" she told him nervously and turned to leave but then she heard, "I'll leave you till your apartment. It's quite late" and he jumped out of the car before she said anything. 'Yay Nandu... Well done.. Now you'll die for sure' she told herself ignoring Manik who had called her name the second time already." Did you hear me... I asked which floor do you live on?" He asked her, with a hidden smile. "Come along" and she led him to her apartment. They reached the apartment, and he dropped her till her door. She opened her apartment in a micro second as she couldn't control her heart which was beating at the speed of light. She thought she would get a heart attack for sure. She entered, turned around and looked at him. "Thank you sir for dropping me till here... You can go now" she blurted and he realized her hesitation and giggled to himself... He turned around to take leave. She saw him take leave and she gave a sigh of relief but stopped when she saw him stop and turn around. He started walking towards her and came and stood in front of her face. He bent down and brought his lips near the corner of her lips and sucked that spot. She was shocked was an understatement. Once again the whole crowd of butterflies retuned in her stomach and tickled her. He came back up after a few seconds, " There was a little cappuccino there" saying that he gave her a smirk, and left walking backwards, and turned around and left. Nandini still stared in the empty corridor and then her fingers went up to the corner of her lip, she liked it. She was happy, and was very happy at the fact that this was given to her by her first crush. She blushed like a newly wedded bride. With that smile she spent the rest of the night thinking about him when suddenly her phone buzzed. Someone had texted her.
"Manik sir? Now?" She looked at the clock and it was half last 12 .
She read the message and was shocked! Blush started to color her cheeks again... Oh all the hardwork she had done to reduce it! The text read,
"There was nothing there... I just wanted to do that... As a punishment for changing me". Shameless man! She laughed...
she re read it for another 10 times, and had the biggest smile on her face. And that was when she knew that this man had completely stolen her heart...
