I agree that both alia and dhruv are selfish in some way but. I don't think manik is selfish at all..he he obviously selfless...yes he can't see dhruv in pain because dhruv is his best buddy..and dhruv trust manik the most..if he would not have sacrificed his lv for dhruv then manik would have been considered as selfish..but he did the opposite and suffered a lot which clearly shows his selfless side,at the same time he is also concerned about nandini tooas he can't see her in pain..not that he his happy seeing a sad nandini,it hurts him the most...but at this point of time he is helpless..he can't do anything even if he wants to...
And wait...manik is nt the one who knows nandini don't lv dhruv..he don't know this still.that nandini rejected dhruv 's proposal..it's only alia and cabir who knew this..so,manik can never be said selfish..

I think in every way manik did the right thing ..according to the situation.
Maybe he must be thinking that dhruv will prove a better person for nandini rather than him...maybe.
And it's not necessary that lv will be happy and smiling always...if it's true love..their is sadness and tears too..u have to cope up and handle every situation whether it's happy or sad...same case here too..manik too is hurt..infact the most,but he is nt showing it to anyone..just suffering..
Anyways...it's individual perspective and i respect it.
