It is just her mindset and the things she saw and heard and how the society was so backward and conservative that many families still make their girls marry after 12th, B.A. etc. and that too with someone she hasn't even met properly or got to know. I kid not -- this happens, like everyday. A girl go to marry the guy she liked because she had sex with him an her parents got to know, they married her off while she was in 11th standard to save their honor or whatever. This was he case where the family went lenient. Navya will probably be thinking that she is IT for you know who. Because sex means you have love and you are ready to have the person in your life forever.

Nandini and Manik actually love each other, by the time they know that they can see themselves together forever with white hair and grand children, if they end up doing it, it would be absolutely beautiful. If Nandu doesn't want to do it before Marriage, then it is her choice and it will be respected by Manik. But she won't be any less of who she is because she slept with the person she is in love with and who she knows loves her like crazy and who she trusts.
