She ran, ran into the tents for comfort, comfort from him, when it should have been "comfort from him"

He stood outside watching as she broke down, each tear taking its turn to stab his cold, yet not so cold heart.

His shadow self reached across to wipe her tears, only if it was the real thing...Regret

His shadow self lent her that shoulder to cry on, only if it was the real thing...Regret

She leaned on him, forgetting those horrible insensitive words...Comfort and Love

She sensed him even as she felt that momentary comfort...So Fleeting

She looked...he ran and hid

She whispered...Manik

but he was just a shadow...

It was a beautiful scene... yet soo sad... the way she said his name "Manik".. it has a tiny bit of trust left in it...

Beautiful.

So close, yet so far. This scene was so endearing to watch as a viewer, them side by side separated by just a cloth. They could feel each other, yet, couldn't physically reach out. Yet, Nandani just saying "Manik" had me fluttered...She felt him. HIM. *Sigh*.

No matter how much they run or hide, the comfort they seek for lies in each others arms. This...love. You pen it down so much more beautifully Adhira!

Adhira, I've been reading all your posts today and thank you my lovely. I miss poems...

The "shadow scene" was it for me today. She found peace in that moment and that to me sealed the deal. She found comfort and she called out his name.. Her blinding pain could not snatch that fleeting moment of solace. That line in your poem sums it. For me...

When I watched that scene, I was in tears, yesterday I cried for Nandini, today I cried for Manik. Manik brought all this pain onto himself and to his love, he can't keep away from her, his soul won't allow it. It won't.
