He sat on the floor with all his feelings shattered like the mirror glasses. But at least he had NAndini. He thought of her and smiled. But then remembered the last encounter...
Manik: Manik...You overreacted again...You need to say a sorry...
He called her but she did not pick his phone. He thought she has slept so just texted her
Sorry...I overreacted...I am sorry I love you.
He received a text within few minutes.
Manik please do a favor to me. Stay away from me for some days. I want a break in this relation. Just give me some space.
Manik felt as if the whole world was joining hands in hurting him today. He called her but she did not pick his phone and then switched the phone off.
He finally lost hope in what he had only some hope left. He was strumming his guitar strings and was thinking of a way out to the closed doors in his life.
Manik was hurt beyond repair. Why did it happen every time? He is always there for everyone whenever they need him and when he needs he can't even find their shadow nearby.
But hasn't it always been like this. Manik is the strong one. MAnik needs to look after everyone. He can never be broken. He is the devil in the disguise of an angel. He needs to be strong. He is the guarding angel. Hasn't it been decided since childhood...
His cell phone beeped with a message. It was Cabir who had added all the members of Fab 5 for group conversation.
Cabir: Guys Madhubala's hurt Nandini beyond repair.
Alya: How will she be? Navya called her an orphan.
Dhruv: True. Nandini is not the same. I can feel it.
Manik was not replying. He was just reading it and the memories of his last encounter with her were striking in his head.
Mukti: So what are we going to do then?
Alya: I think we should take her to Manik's farmhouse. What say?
Cabir: Yah. The place is good. And that would bring some fun and we too can relax.
Dhruv: But why is Manik not replying. I think buddy has a problem.

MAnik took a deep breath not knowing what to type. He then got a different message from Alya.
NAndini will ignore you but don't feel bad. I already know she is going to say some harsh words to you and distance herself. I heard her talking to herself alone in the room. Take her there and make her realize your love. You guys need to be together. Please MAnik. Say yes.
Manik was frustrated. Why? Why every time does he need to prove his love to her? Why?
He took a deep breath and remembered their happy moments. Her cuddling in her sleep towards him. The way she hugged him. He way she stood on her toes to give him a forehead kiss.

Manik took his car keys and then went towards Nandini's home.
He climbed the ladder and then got in her room with the help of the window. He found NAndini on the other end of the room and she was carrying her fireflies.
Nandini: MAnik...I told you to stay away from me. What are you doing here...?
Manik: I want a break...Don't mind if it's a short one...
NAndini wanted to express her concern but then
Manik: please Nandini...I won't be romantic...I just want to talk and vent out my frustrations.
He sat on the floor and Nandini too sat by his side.
Manik: I was small when my parents divorced and since then I have always been alone. I don't like being alone...It scares me...I too wish sometimes that I can lie my head upon someone's should and tell them what I feel...Why does everyone leave me in the between.
Nandini: everyone does not stay with you always. This is life...moving on is a part
Manik: but I can't...I only have limited people in my life with whom I share my happiness...I can't let them go
Nandini: Goodbyes are always hard to say. These separations are helpful in realizing the worth of the person...
MAnik: But I already know the worth of the person...She is my life...
Nandini: Everybody is not there always so always have something that can stay with you always. With whom you can lay your head on when nobodies around...
Manik: I had someone...but she left me today like everyone else...
NAndini: I was not talking about people...In my case I have fireflies and in your ...they are stars...You can always find them by your side wherever you are...
MAnik: but what about the promise she made to never leave me and be my star
Nandini: some promises are only fulfilled for some time...
MAnik: so all the promises were a lie...doesn't she realize she is breaking someone's heart
Nandini: maybe the fear of losing someone is more dreadful then breaking someone's heart...At least the person whose heart you break can be in front you well and fine...
MAnik: but if by breaking someone's heart you are killing that person's soul
Nandini: A person's soul is never killed by heartbreak...But the ones who love you will kill themselves if something happens to you
MAnik: How are you so sure that I will die?
Nandini: I am not sure Manik...When in child I can be responsible for killing my parents...

You are spoiling your present by worrying about something that happened in the past and think that will happen in the future as well.
He left her and then again said
Manik: For this stupid reason you were advocating about the jerk with me. So that I get angry on you...You ...You thought about Harshad as a point to bring a strain in our relation...NAndini are you trying to act funny with me...Because your actions and words are really...
NAndini did not let Manik complete
Nandini: Manik all this seems a joke to you. I was not concerned about Harshad...Navya told me that Harshad would take student in his confidence and rusticate Fab 5...because Harshad had not done anything so big as much as compared to what Fab 5 does to other students...

He kissed her cheek and Nandini looked shocked.
Manik: Don't be so shocked. Get some sleep and remove the bollywood fever from your head...
He walked towards the window and slowly descended down the ladders.
NAndini looked from the window if he reached safe or not.
Manik smiled looking at her concern.
He took his cell phone and texted her.
Relax.
Take that bollywood fever out and everything will be fine.
