@AY - Yes he was reading the book and immediately the Ok happened, it's been happening a lot more, i cannot recall, but the last time I counted it was 4-5 times, not including today's one. I love John Green, not the book- overrated IMO but it was kinda cute how they gave it a shout-out.

^^ Pop culture reference- these kids are of the age-group who would mostly likely read or watch the movie on this book. So I guess to show Dhruv be all about love , googling and reading about it, they showed him buzzing through the book.
Agree on quotes.
*Nandu tone* Aur kya bolun, Nitya😆
I mean the scenes today...flow thoda off lagaa mujhe...and this is just my opinion but Parth could have acted better in the scene when Manik is blurting out everything about Dhruv's mahaan lowe...the way he was talking about those 93 flowers so...excruciatingly😆...didn't have much impact on me😕...or maybe it's cuz woh 93 flowers wala entire setup mujhe waise hi bahut dumb lagaa tha😆...and Manik actually talking about that like it was some WOW thing😆...
I dunno...I understand the INTENT of that scene...Manik was so rattled and restless after seeing Nandu listening to Dhruv HASS HASS ke😆 and the scene started off well with him remarking to her that she smiles for Dhruv, listens to him...but the portions where he unwittingly ends up elevating Dhruv to mahapurush status and saying stuff like, "No one can do as much for you as Dhruv...not even me"...I feel like the impact of these lines could have been better directed...cuz the lines were all good...still something felt missing in the scene to me😕
The Spot wala blooper is seriously DUMB...itna toh fix kar lein😕

He genuinely appreciates Dhruv but doesn't look upto him. he is sorted in his head that way, just feels that Nandini deserves the niceness , goodness that Dhruv offers. He has parent complex for most of fab5 especially Dhruv, hence the chiding, controlling need. Yeah but none of these thoughts occurred to him until Dhruv professed love for Nandu...usse pehle Manik was more than fine with his big bad self deserving Nandu😆...before then he didn't think of some other random nice guy being good for Nandu?😆 Idiot. He looks down on himself- He questioned it earlier too, went to her place even when she hated him to know why she smiles at Dhruv but never at him. The tendencies were always there, he feels inferior in context of what Nandini deserves. When she calls him a monster, it gets to him- because she totally believes it and his self-esteem takes a hit when Nandini glorifies Dhurv. He first time hated being the bad guy because of her. Yeah he's gutted every time she calls him a Monster...Nandini's words, anything she says or does gets to him...and when she calls him a monster with such conviction, his self-esteem deffo takes a hit...and then yeah like you said, she glorifies Dhruv in contrast always so Manik fixates on that too.Hence he justifies Dhruv for Nandini by thinking that the former makes her smile, listen and consoles her. He underplays his influence and thing with her. THIS...This is the bit where he is being the most unfair to Nandu...he's lying to himself about the strength of his feelings for her, fine...but it's clear as daylight in her eyes what she feels for him...and after all the moments they've shared, for him to still pretend like there wasn't this explosive chemistry b/w them is *headdesk*...Manik can be so frustrating sometimes😆...He's so blinded by these IMAGINED moments of Nandini smiling at Dhruv that he forgets so quickly how she smiled for HIM with her heart in her eyes...or maybe he can't handle all that love shining for him even though that's what he asked of her...again we come back to that same thing...bundle of CONTRADICTIONS he is.You made all the sense, Baba is all this and more. Makes it fascinating tbh, here is a kid 19-20 playing the big guy role. I think the age and the fact they lack real world experiences makes it very relatable. i like how we are able to see the problems as it is. Thank you...lol yes he is a fascinating character no doubt but given all the layers and paradoxes in him, he spins my head sometimes as I try to figure out his actions and thought process😆...but yeah they've done a good job of crafting this character for the age and place this show is set in...there is a refreshing directness to it all.
