Dhruv sat in his room considering the events of the last week. The truth had come out, and Fab 5 was in pieces. He couldn't handle the stress. Mukti and Cabir had forgiven Alya, and so did Nandini, but Manik, he wasn't going to forgive her that easily. Nandini was ashamed that Alya could stoop so low, and Manik, you couldn't even place the disgust Manik had. They moment he found out, Manik was so furious he couldn't think straight. Nandini tried to calm him down, but that didn't even work. If Dhruv and Nandini couldn't calm him down...then no one knew who could. Manik had slowly started becoming more over-protective over Nandini, and it was obvious to everyone except the two that they were in love with each other. Dhruv had silently made it a mission for himself, along with Navya, to get them together, but it proved harder than they thought. Dhruv and Navya met up that night in order to plan their confession.
"Okay...so what to do?" Navya asked him.
"We need Nandini to confess first...Manik is too egotistical to admit it," Dhruv said.
"That's good, because Nandini is planning on confessing tonight. Manik hasn't talked to her in 3 days and she's getting restless. You know she has to have her daily dose of Mr. Malhotra," Navya said. Dhruv nodded, laughing. Navya was the only person who understood what he was doing and why he was doing it.
"Well then let it be tonight. We're going to lock them in a room together, and won't let them out till they confess," Dhruv said.
"Yes, bring them back to how it all started," Navya said. "Wow, Dhruv you are genius."
"It's be known to happen," Dhruv joked.
"Wow...you joked...are you feeling okay?" Navya snickered back. Dhruv rolled his eyes.
"Very funny, just get Navya to school on time," Dhruv said. Navya hit him playfully and left him.
Navya pulled Nandini along the hallway.
"Why in the world am I here Navya? That too, this late? What if someone catches us?" Nandini asked her.
"Arre, calm down Nandu. No one will catch you. I planned all of this, so nothing can go wrong," Navya said.
"Where have I heard that before?" Nandini said, rolling her eyes.
"Please, this time it's full proof. I'm not by myself this time," Navya said, as the approached their destination.
"Dhruv? Tum? You and Navya...working together...oh god," Nandini said.
"Hey, have some faith. Everything we do is for your own benefit. Now go and get you buy," Navya said, as she shoved Nandini inside the storeroom. Dhruv locked the door and turned to face Navya.
"So, coffee?" Dhruv asked.
"Coffee? At this time of night?" Navya asked.
"Okay, meri maa. Whatever you want, on me. We'll come back and check later," Dhruv said, folding his hands together. Navya laugh and hooked her arm through his as they walked away.
Meanwhile in the storeroom, Nandini was confused. She looked around the dark storeroom, and couldn't see anyone. Suddenly the lights came on and her eyes widened.
"Tum!" she exclaimed.
"Oh god! I should have known that they would be planning something," Manik complained.
"I'm glad they did this. Finally I can talk to you! Why the hell have you been avoiding me?" Nandini asked.
"Who cares if I've been avoiding you?" Manik said, looking away.
"I care. I've been trying to talk to this whole week, and trying to get you to forgive Alya," Nandini said, not realizing that she shouldn't have mentioned Alya.
"Alya. God I can't even think about her without getting mad. How can you forgive her? She sent some goons after you!"
"Because she thought you were in love with me. She just wanted to keep the guy she loves," Nandini said.
"Well that was too far. She knows it, and you know it. I don't even know her anymore, she isn't that sweet and caring Alya I used to know. She knows we've been drifting apart lately."
"She did this because she loves you Manik."
"But I don't love her!" he yelled. Nandini stared at him wide-eyed. "I haven't loved her for a long time."
"You should have told her that then."
"Yeah, right. This is Alya, you can't just tell someone as sensitive as her that you don't love them. What if you did the same to Dhruv?"
"I wouldn't have to say that to Dhruv, because I don't love him."
"But if you did."
"But I don't..."
"Then who do you love? And don't deny it, I see you with that I'm in love' expression on your face," Manik commented.
" I don't have a I'm in love' expression on my face," Nandini argued.
"Yeah you do, and if it's not Dhruv then who is it? Cabir...please don't tell me it's Harshad," Manik said.
"Oh god no. No way! Eww, never either of them," Nandini exclaimed.
"Then who...come on tell me. You know I won't totally make fun of you for it. I mean it can't be that bad. If it isn't any of those, who else could it be. Come Nandu tell me, you know you want to. Tell-"
"IT'S YOU MANIK! I LOVE YOU!" Nandini yelled. Manik's jaw dropped and he looked at her in shock. "I love you, idiot. I'm an idiot who fell in love with a guy who not only hates me, but also likes to annoy and make fun of me. I'm so stupid..."
Nandini was cut off with Manik's lips on hers. To say she was shocked, would be an understatement. Although it didn't take her longer than 30 seconds to respond. As she kissed back, he deepened the kiss even more. His left hand cupping her face, while the right pulled her closer to him. She pushed herself up on her toes and let her arms intertwine around his neck. The kiss went on for what seemed like hours, till Nandini finally had to breathe again.
"So does that mean you feel the same?" Nandini said looking down.
"No, I just needed to shut you up, and I got a little carried away," Manik smirked.
"MANIK!" Nandini yelled, turning away. Manik laughed and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I'm kidding, Nandu. You know I love you. I know you know I do. It's been obvious for a while now," he said, kissing her shoulder. Nandini shivered, but sunk into his chest.
"That's kind of true...but I wouldn't believe it," Nandini said, turning around in his arms.
"Well know you know. I love you Nandini Murthy," Manik said, resting his forehead against hers.
"I love you too Manik Monster Malhotra," Nandini said, laughing. Manik growled, and captured her lips once again.
"As adorable as you guys are, and as happy as I am that our plan worked, no PDA in front of the best friends," said Navya, who was standing next to Dhruv, both smirking at the couple.
"You guys are unbelievable," Manik said.
"You got that right," Navya said.
"We're unbelievably amazing best friends," Dhruv said, winking at Navya.
"Now what's going on here," Nandini said, looking between the two. Navya and Dhruv blushed and stepped away from each other.
"Anyway...now that you guys are together...will the fighting be kept to a minimum?" Dhruv asked.
"Let's hope so," Nandini said.
"Why did you guys do this anyway?" Manik asked.
"For you and me," Navya said.
"We couldn't stand the fighting, and you guys really needed to be happy," Dhruv said. The group walked out of school, and Manik decided to drop Nandini home.
"You don't have to," Nandini said.
"You're not going home by yourself," Manik argued.
"I'm a big girl, I can go home myself."
"Not this late at night."
"Come on Manik."
"I said no Nandu."
"Stop calling me that."
"Nandu, come on, Nandu."
"So much for not fighting," Navya and Dhruv said, shaking their heads at their best friends.
