@arieltabi harshad in bengali is spelt like this- . And all da characters have west indian names- murthy, malhotra, vardhan, mukherjee, srivastav, etc.

Hey me too from Dhaka Bangladesh. I m Tabassum.
All names aren't west indian.
Moorty is South Indian.
Malhotra is North Indian.
Vardhan too is North Indian I guess.

Yes Manik is a Bangla name. I guess he is half Bong half Punjabi.
Na re ami Dhakaiya na. Amar desher bari Kushtia. Ami class 4 theke ekhane achi. School college Uni sob ekhane. Tumi r u dhakaiya?
