I am proud of Manik for what he did. He didn't even look at the guiter, all he saw was Nandini falling. For a person like Manik.. it is totally unexpected. The way he held Nandu's hand and tried to pull her up...it looked like he really cares for her and will do ANYTHING to save her. Nandini's eyes were shocked too to see her monster Manik giving his best to save her.
