I did feel odd that they showed 4 of the 7 vows they took during the pheras. 1,2,3 was shown. 4,5 music. 6 shown. 7 music.

Yup. Didn't like it either. There was a time when Aaji had come up when Ammu had a better perspective on him. Can be argued she was blindly in love with him even that time but she was also aware of his 'bad' side. She lost that perspective somewhere on the way.

There are times I think how many real life women will be fine with the mela wedding like thing if it happens to them and behave just the way Ammu is right now... total 'aatmasamarpan', blinded in love, serving things on a platter to her patiparmeshwar / rajadhiraj? She does mention 'destiny'... but it sounds like she has accepted her destiny and is trying to be happy with it.. because there is no other way.

One good thing that happened with him losing his wealth is it no longer feels as if he has a class difference with Ammu - which was visible not just visually but also in his behaviour in the past. Him saying Ammu is equal to him felt as believable as him saying Shekhar is his bhai jaisa dost.

Can only say, wish they could write these two characters much better than they have managed to. Their stories / journeys could've been way better.

Destiny. Can take that Amruta has given up to destiny and trying to make the best of what she got. Yeah.. thats a facet of destiny - no one said 'destiny' is good. Going into poverty is destiny... getting forcefully married is destiny too. They always said they are the 'destined pair'... doesn't mean its 'good'. Can never be good in itv... but its worse in kaise but that's destiny too.

Can be argued its not that bad too. She can do what she wants to do.

I wish Virat stays true to his 'character' and not his 'promises'.

Yep! Some like me appreciate it only because I'm rooting for Srijit but in the context, no one here supports this shit!

Marry is mandatory because they are meant to be, but the makers forgot the past and that's one of the issues of this show. They simply don't care.

Yeah, he is not worth Ammu, but Ammu made silly isn't great either. As you said she is blind.

In short, makers ruined their own piece of art. This show could've been different but unfortunately, they were unwilling to make it unique.

And as much as you dislike V, we don't trust him for Ammu. This reminds me, yesterday during the shaadi (around MS and sindoor time) Ammu told him to promise something and he said hmm instead of I promise, phir wind and storm...Honestly, nothing is good about that (even though I'm not a suspicious girl).

Oh... I don't remember that. In a way promise dikha bhi dete to kya farak padta - not that he has been true to his promises (which goes against the bold in my last post... cause not keeping promises is part of his character too.)

Both of them aren't good at keeping promises. Amruta tries to but fails, Virat... gets excuses not to keep them.

Yup. It will be her own fault. I have it that she is digging her grave... and also seems like she acknowledges it as one of the possibilities. [Well... something struck me... may post about it later.]

Getting married to him (or playing shaadi-shaadi and husband-wife /sr-sr) seems like her insurance for what can happen in case things go awry with their plan. Her hope, it seems like, is he will be with her once this happens, even if Babs or anyone else promise and do anything. It also gave him the assurance that 'mee tumcheech' (I am only yours)... if he needs that.

May not be how it is, but since our wonderful makers and writers don't explain things and push anything anywhere, can only think this is the case.

Will that be enough though? [One problem with him is he will need constant re-assurance. and now that the bar of getting re-assurance is set to a new high, not getting it every day can make him question things again.]
