This is how Virat should ideally behave in the show. Giving importance to Amruta, apologizing and confessing when she is conscious! But unfortunately now have gone past the point of caring now.

In recent months whats visibly showcased by makers/writers/cvs/directors/editors with actors/actresses of KMTMG onscreen, to majority of watching audiences is as follows;

Amruta is shown supremely fierce, outspoken, strong, fighter, no-nonsense taker, back to be a self-respecting individual quickly reacting ONLY when she is standing against Jayesh or Rajeev when these two utter or do something terribly wrong according to her OR when these two severely insult & trouble Bhavani or Nimrit, or even her.

But is not the case when Amruta has to face similar or much severe wrongs said or done to her (or others) by Virat, Babita, Bebe, even Ishika + Priyanka (partly)

Am I missing something with her character? and its usage?

It isn't recently, this has been shown from start. Ammu is fierce only with Rajiv and her father. Not the Ahujas (who may) have done worse to her. Not done!

Love is blind- that extends to your lover's family is the only explanation for Ammu's hot and cold behavior with her dad, Rajiv and Ahujas. But even this seems hollow since Ahujas haven't done anything to deserve Ammu's love.

Tabhi fast pace mein yeh likha hai. This one is (somehow) inspired by the show itself. I wish Ammu gave back to him more and him to crawl like a baby trying to apologize, but alas!

I touched upon his previous marriage to suggest the pov whether anyone else other than Ammu, in the current phase, will be okay with what Virat is doing. And if Ammu was in the hospital, unconscious during the Ravandahan, may be she will wake up in a day or two, but Nimrit would've been toast. And despite her warning - like with getting Nimmi married to Rajeev - Babs transferred the money paving way for the next trouble. The 'marriage' is going on, only because Ammu is chosing it to - in a way thats justice too... he thought he will punish her by getting married to her, but now it is lasting only because of her.

I find the writers are grappling with this too - not ignoring the mela wedding as I may think they are - at least going by what Bhavani, Vandy, and now Jayesh seem to be doing. The writers I think know they *ed up and I hope they will bring at least this part to a healthy place. Or probably they are going 'despite everything VA love eo' which to me will be a sad thing.
