Yeah... the one that comes up as the first comment for me is someone saying "the best story in Zee TV". Dont think they can improve the story after what they did in the mela eps - may be things will feel good after 50 eps and one ignores those eps ever happened. Currently they are doing a good job in weaning me off any attachment I may be having with Sriti's character and acting. Like said before, I dont remember the last time I saw her scene and thought 'why even is she crying?" So... going good... a couple more and can move on. Good if they treat everyone "equally"... but what's the use when you are embracing mediocrity and being proud of it... (mediocrity sounds a bit too generous).

200 ep perhaps.

Well... congrats from me too... for surviving 200 eps. May be a first for the makers. [But easy for that to happen with whom they signed up. Nothing to do with the story too... could've been worse and would've still crossed 200, as proved by another show.]

[July 1 Ep 213]

Nearly 2 min of previous ep repeated.

Babs v/s ex... both giving reality checks to eo. [ex saying 'please... you dont love your son. you wont be doing what you did if you loved him.' perhaps the best dialogue of the day.]

Ammu Dildaar in icu... couldn't figure out what they are talking about. Nurse comes in with broken bangles.

Glad Ammu comes in and Jahan and Bhavani act.... Bhavani talks about keeping vrat for Jayesh... Ammu questions...

Ammu talks about them not letting her sign the papers cause she is not his wife... but Bhavani ignores and talks about details about vrat. [stop it!!!! move on.] And the idiot Ammu is going to do it, [facepalm]... congrats Bhavani to make her an idiot like you. Jahan too. 'Humare suhaag ko salaamat rakhe'... for all her mahaan pravachan, had to use urdu in that.

The talk goes on and on and on.... until Ammu falls for it. bangles help her too. waah... doob maro Ammu.

She says she isn't keeping vrat... but Bhavani wants her to ... she actually is keeping vrat... cause she didnt have tea....

Savitri katha too. Dont know if Bhavani expects Ammu to go behind Yam dev now. Who knows... since she is the 'destined' one she may even do it. of course not an idiot like the ex...

... who enters... and talks crap. Sure Bhavani wont mind it... So what she calls her daughter dusri aurat or a mistress or anything.... who cares? Ammu ka pyaar toh sachcha hai. Aur humein toh ab insult aur humiliation sehne ki aadat hai. nahi suna to din kaise guzrega. We beg for it all day long.

Beautiful eps.. exceptional writing. Will nominate for Emmy's.

Two extreme cases of middle aged mothers are being highlighted a lot from the begining in KMTMG, one is rich educated snobbish vile sharp plotter, while the other is uneducated naive timid, with lack of self-respect.

That missing consistency & continuity which viewers regularly feel in the serial, otherwise gets mostly maintained in these two mothers characters in KMTMG, that's the irony. Both mothers are shown pushy & controlling over their adult well educated children in their own ways of-course usage of overflowing tears and health scares included, these two mom's majorly try to manipulate their child's behavior, actions & thought process as per their own whims, prejudices, insecurities, along with societal pressures giving less importance to their child's aspirations, personality, dignity & well being but they keep painting it as motherly concern.

May be channel & producer tend to give that sense of relief? to many educated viewers watching this serial to 'go feel glad for NOT having kind of mothers like Babita & Bhavani in real, who are enough to ruin both present & future lives of their children, where NO other enemies are actually needed'..that's the outcome in each plot/track shown so far.

You are actually right in your evaluation (not that I disagreed before).

In today's ep Bhavani completely ignores what Ammu was talking about - the scene confirms your take. Its the same thing that BA does with Virat. Yup... with Harsh and Nimrit too.

So Babita and Bhavani are the leads of the show.

Edit: In other words: 'Babita liquid hai jo VA ko jeene nahi denge, aur Bhavani oxygen hai jo VA ko marne nahi denge." I dont see this thing getting resolved ever... they will forever be in a limbo because of the two mothers. or more correctly, because they wont listen to themselves beyond the noise that their mother's shout at them.

But dono leads ka character with their mom kafi relatable hai. Isn't real life mein bhi mom ki pakad kaafi strong hoti hai bachon/adults ke upar chahe woh mom kitni bhi controlling, dominating, manipulative qn na ho . Mom can never be wrong....yahi toh chahta hai real life mein bhi toh uss hisaab show mein bhi sahi dikhaya gaya hai.

Relatable that moms can be controlling but they did go extreme on that. Sure need not talk about Babs... I dont think a mom will want her daughter to keep vrat for her husband when she just learnt yesterday that he has another wife, is not divorced, and thus her daughter's marriage is invalid. (Fine if she knew the ex is faking it... and perhaps some in the audience is fine cause they know she is faking it... but I would expect moms to be like Sarla who slaps Abhi, since she learnt Tanu is pregnant. Edit: Wonder what she would say if she learns ex is pregnant... you should have a kid too and the kid is the 'sachcha one'??? )

Yes, in real life, mothers usually have the most control on kids as it is an emotional attachment since birth and mothers are supposed to be really protective about their kids(in every species, infact!).

The problem is when it continues into adulthood. In real life, kids do rebel and try to break free and moms would either emotionally manipulate to dominate or just act matured and let go(to an extent with loads of conditions apply)

But never in my life have I seen a mom, real or on screen, turn into a villain to "protect" his son against a non-existent threat. No sane mom would leak intimate pics of his son with a girl she wants to separate her son from. No mom would be fine with his innocent son going to jail on rape charges. In what world is that logical. On one hand, they keep iterating that Babita loves her son too much but her actions are just the opposite. There is no logic and coherence between what is shown and what is spoken. It is just like slapping someone and then saying I love you 😳

Edit: Bhavani is a perennial door mat and she deserves the abuse and humiliation. If you cannot respect yourself enough, do not expect it from anyone else. You and only you set the tone of how people behave with you. Issue is Amruta, who is supposed to be educated and smart, does not learn from her mom's life and doesn't even question her mom when she spews irrational thoughts. Bhavani is expected to do that but why is Amu not pushing back. That's the second example of illogical and incoherent writing. 😞

Sad to see that even with so many women involved in the production, they could not come up with one role model worthy female character in their story. A woman is either a villain or a doormat. No in between 😞
