Angad's mother tells him that Kripa is an opportunist. She brainwashes him by saying that Kripa had led on Prithvi in a similar fashion. She tells him that since Kripa has nothing but her own personal goals in mind he should not invest any more of his time in her.
She creates such a web of lies around him that Angad is caught in the trap and beleives all that she says. The final breaking point is when she and Kartik show him the video footage of Kripa taking money from Kartik.
