Parineeta and KYPH!

Hm..Yeah you all must be wondering how on earth are these two realted!!!

Let me tell you..In a lot of ways!

For those of you who are uninitiated, Parineeta is the latest hindi movie based on a Saratchandra Chattopadyay's Classic novel...I watched the movie over the weekend and since then I am not able to stop myself going ra-ra about it...

Parineeta is a story of Shekhar,Lolita and Girish...Its basically the story of Shekhar's complex nature, how his ego almost destroyed him...He is egoistic,sensitive/insensitive,emotional,careless and what not😡😊...

Shekhar is just like Angad, a rich brat who is pretty much in the shadow of his dad(Angad his mom)...Who doesnt want to take over the business from his dad but to revel in his own music world...He is a great pianoist and all...He has one childhood sweet heart Lolita on whom he is completely dependent, of course no love in the air yet😳...

Lolita is just like our Krips...She is humble,self dependent,swabhimani etc...She is also very egoistic and it shows when she doesnt give away the name of her secret husband, but waits for the husband himself to come and accept her👏👏👏...

Girish is a sweet gentleman who falls head over heels for Lolita..Love at first sight you see...Somewhat like Prithvi....He helps Lolita in a lot of things which makes Shekhar feel that they both are seeing eachother...He gets jealous and starts hurting Lolita...That's when he actually realizes that he loves Lolita....And of course Lolita also realizes her love for Shekhar at the same time...Now tell me is it not a la KYPH?(Forgive me Pradeep Sarkaar(director of the movie), Make no mistake, I'm in no way comparing your classic with KYPH🤢...I'm comparing just the similarities in the story and charachters...)

Shekhar and Lolita marry eachother in a similar fashion as our A&K and what with the immediate consummation following...(Though I must say this scene is taken in a much more beautiful way in the movie and there is just no comparision other than the marriage happening and all...This scene in the movie is the most well taken scene of all and is what makes the movie a CLASSIC😳😳😳)

But Shekhar's Dad plays a 'Naina' in his life and creates an ocean of misunderstandings between him and Lolita...Shekhar disowns Lolita thinking that she cheated on him and nods his head for another girl(a la Mishty😡) who his dad suggests...Girish comes forward to take Lolita's hand making the matters even more worse😕 for the love duo!

And then the rest of the story...😃...I'm not going to play the spoil sport by telling you off the story...

So now tell me guys dont you see the similarities???Now the question is:

Is Sharat's novel, EKta's inspiration for her KYPH????

I know its not...Ekta for the life of hers can in no way even dream close to something like that...But kehne me kya harz hai😊...

That's great yaar..You got to read the novel...Now I'm very much looking forward to get hold of a english translation of this classic peice,may be you can help me in this😕...I hope I did not offend you by comparing these two...In fact I myself will get offended if someone said that KYPH and Parineeta are the same...🤢😡..Cos they are not and are poles apart...

Oh there is no consummation and Gayatri in the original is it???Then how did Shekhar try to take revenge on Lolita???

wow...Thanks for the review raksha...I havent seen the movie yet but now cant wait to see it 😳 It sounds a great movie...

I have a doubt abt Devdas movie for long time now....In the last scene when devdas is just in front of paro's mahel and paru runs to meet him...the gate is closed....they show tht devdas died but paro is shown to fall near the gate...she dies too? someone enlighten me 😉
