My take on KYPH - 19th May '05

Thanks chilly for that fantastic update...and dinky21 as well for the good quickie..

I saw a few scenes of KYPH yesterday and hence thot of penning my views...this post goes out to dear chillyflakes...

A bit of background. KYPH did start on an interesting note (though a old wine in a very good new bottle). We had a dashing casanova pop star Angad with a cute innocent small town girl Kripa absolutely looking up to him. When she comes to Mumbai she faces the true face of Angad and hates him for what he is. But as they say love sees no barrier so they do start developing feelings for each other.

Coming back to today's episode Angad was converted to a weep o krisha today. When he got to know that Kripa was going to be engaged what was he doing all alone crying. I was actually expecting him to do something more. As chilly mentions it really required guts on the part of Kripa to give up on a person who loves u with his whole heart for some anjaan raasta (Translation: Unknown way). Especially when there is a saying always marry a man who loves u and not because u love him.

I felt that Angad was completely natural in the initial crying scene. He brought out the feeling of a confused character very well. I would say confused because even though he mentioned abt his feelings to Kripa he stopped shy of saying the actual thing. I also liked Prithvi's character a lot for being supportive to Kripa. In fact I did not expect Amit to do a good job but he seems to be improving with every passing episode. Priths is a pucca gentleman who says that he will continue to Love kripa. Though I wonder if there are any Prithvi type characters in the real world. Kripa what can I say, she completely outshone all her previous performances today. She occupied the centre stage in today's episode. Angad and Kripa's chemistry is good especially in romantic scenes as well when both of them are relatively new. But I felt that in the final hug scene Angad was trying to bring a lot of expressions on his face (like love, surprise, happiness) and it kind of showed a slight eff ort on his part. (Just my interpretation. I could be wrong. Please take it as constructive feedback).

The story seems to race forward with every episode and I really dread to think what can be the emotional speed breaker to this whole saga. (looks like Abimaan type with a huge misunderstanding as a giveaway post says !!! )

Overall a good episode with some wonderful acting by the lead pair. Hope that Ekta maayo does not create a Mihir-Tulsi, Anurag-Prerna with this pair as well.

QUESTIONS

• The all important question. Thanks to a giveaway post by a member here we know that Angad loves Kripa and vice versa. What will be the Kahaani mein twist (Ok let me answer this one myself. The movie 'Abimaan' as a post says) ??
• Will Angad ever be able to change himself for Kripa ?
• When will everyone come to know of the romance ?
• How will Mishti react (turn negative ??) when she comes to know abt the Angad-Kripa love ? Does Damini Bose have any plan up her sleeve ?
• Will Harshini come back to Soul Academy now that Priths-Krips Engagement is called off?

Well could not do full justice to the episode as I did not watch it in its entirety (am actually more active in TD forums but thought of hopping in here for a few mts). Will try to do a better job of this the next time. For people who want to come behind me with a bat just gimme a call in TD forums I will join u ppl !!! .

👏 Excellent take Swathi! And thanks a lot for posting a note on KYPH (I know where you heart actually lies!!!)

I actually wanted to mention that Angad faltered a little bit in the scene where Kripa confesses her love to him, but nevertheless his overall performance was flawless, hence I overlooked that!

I think the fact that Angad still could not reciprocate his love to Kripa, showed the basic immaturity and confusion of Angad's character. Despite being aware of his feelings for Kripa, he still does not have the guts or rather the ''clarity'' of mind to put a name-tag to his emotions! But I think that is the essence of Angad's character, if he could convey his feelings easily to Kripa, then there won't be much difference b/w him and Prithvi.

Coming to Kripa, she was truly a woman in love yesterday! Kripa has gambled everything for love, chosen to fall in love with a man, who is so reckless and volatile, who is not even clear about himself, let aside giving support to the woman he loves. But Kripa, despite being aware of Angad's innumerous short-comings, choses him over Prithvi. It was a class act by Kripa all the way and every person who has loved or believes in love will understand what Kripa did yesterday!

Prithvi is an amazing character, not because he choses to let go of Kripa and support her in her decesion, but for the fact that he is man enough to confess on Kripa's face that he loves her inspite of knowing that she does not feel the same for him and will continue loving her in the hope that someday it might be reciprocated. I don't know whether men like him exist in real life, but surely the world need's people like him!

Regarding the questions,

The Kahaani mein twist is going to be a dirty game by Naina who will implicate Kripa and unfortunately Angad will fall for it and go against her, breaking her heart as well as spirit and she will become a recluse. As I said before Angad will not deliberatly ditch her, but circumstances will be such, that he will be forced to go against her.

Angad is already a changed man, the only thing is that he is ready to accept that he has changed for her!

Naina is already aware that Angad and Kripa are somewhat emotionally involved, I think something will happen next week, wherein everyone will come to know of Angad and Kripa's love. I don't think anyone will be happy except Dadi. And Prithvi, though definitely unhappy, will full-heartedly support Kripa and Angad!

Mishti is already upset with Kripa for breaking her brother's heart, now when she comes to know of her affair with Angad, I don't think anything on earth will stop her. As they say, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Harshini will come back to Mumbai and somehow get married to Kartik, she will probably keep misunderstanding and hating Kripa for betraying her and will join hands with Naina and Co. in going against Kripa.

Keep writing Swathi! Great job, once again!

Angad is kindda changed throughout the story..

I go with Chilly..Naina will try to plan something and Mishti might help her just to take revenge..
