Promotion reviews...MUST READ

Reality bites Sony Television is trying to maintain the tempo after Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Indian Idol. It has chosen a 'classic love story' to consolidate its second position in Indian television. The hero is a pop icon 'who doesn't believe in love and emotions'. The heroine is 'led by her heart with an undying faith in love'. And opposite poles attract, as they have always done in Indian reel tales.

But at the Delhi promotion campaign of Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai, the hero, played by chocolate-faced Iqbal Khan, was sans his lady love ("She is ill."). The absence must have mattered because Iqbal missed his lines and looked out of sync as he danced and strummed his guitar through a love song. So how is he in real life? "I believe in love and am less cynical... not at all like the screen character," said Iqbal. Remains to be seen if the reel TV, after the reality one, raises Sony's TRP.

But I have to disagree with what they say about opposites attracting, that doesn't really happen. People tend to get attracted to people who are more similar to them. In some ways these two lead characters are also similar to each other. Do you agree?

I know right DInki was sick, thats why I put that in Bold...Hope she'z feeling better now. cuz this promotion wasnt too long ago rite? and maisha no, i dont agree wid u. I've seen opp attract and r having a very happy married life.

I am sure they are out there too. Usually, I have seen people get attracted to opposites and then they find qualities (in those opposites) similar to them and their own tastes. Read that majority of the people are like that. But everything doesn't happen by these studies and generalizations. That's why it's love.

I hope I didn't offend anyone with my views. It was just a thought. 😊 I really like this show. My comment wasn't meant to attack any of the soap's characters. But I am critical of most Ekta soaps, this one is definitely an exception, till now.
