Amit Tandon, a former Indian Idol finalist will also join Kyunki...team

You never know where life takes you. A perfect example of this maxim is actor Amit Tandon. Having started out to become a singer, this Indian Idol finalist finally ended up becoming an actor.

Tandon plays the lead in Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai. Not only that, he will have his hands full in the coming year. The man has been short listed to play the main protagonist in Balaji's forthcoming show Krimson Skies. He will also be joining Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi soon.

Tandon says, "Yes I am playing the main lead in Krimson Skies. It is a very good role, something that I wanted to do when I began acting."

However, sounding reluctant to divulge more, he says, "I am under contract with Sony till February 2006. I can't take up acting in other serials before that."

On enquiring about his singing career, he says, "Right now, I do find time to riyaaz. I want to get established as an actor first and then establish myself as a singer. I think I will be singing the title track of Krimson Skies and also the situational songs in it. I don't want to sing for Kyunki… though. Actually I am more excited about Krimson Skies. I wanted to work with Ekta…, she is the best. And this is for the first time that a show is based around men."

Talking about his look in the show, he says, "I have been given a different look for Krimson Skies. I will look very flashy and have spiked my hair for the show."

Ekta is more than happy to have him in her shows, "Amit is a very good actor and he has the attitude for the role (Krimson Skies)."

It is speculated that his character is Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai will be killed post his entry in two other Balaji shows.
