A friend sent this story to me...sharing it with you all

This is a story of a kid going to the bazar with his mom. The Mom is holding her kids hand and walking through the busy bazar. The kid asks for Candy. Mom says "later". Then the kid asks for baloon. Mom says "later". Later the kid asks for Ice Cream. Mom says "later". Now the crowd increases and mom looses her kid's hand. They are now separated and the kid is scared. After a while the kid starts crying.

The candy shop wala offers a cnady to the kid and the kid says "I want my mom". The ballon man offers the kid a baloon and kid says "I want my mom". The ice cream shop wala gives an ice cream to the kid and kid says "I want my mom". The very dear things the kid wanted few minutes back have now become useless to the kid.

All the kid now wants is his mom. This is how we are. When God or our loved one for that matter are guiding us through the life, we take everything for granted and do not thank them at all. We only look at material benefits. The moment they leaves our hands, we look for them everywhere. We beg for their help.

Take time out from your busy life to remember god and try to be there for your loved ones. A Phone call here , an email now and then and just a little thankyou wouldnt harm any one!

awww misty its really nice.. i've read similar stories..

there's a tamil proverb, translated means 'one only realises the value of shade when he's under the sun!' similarly, we only realise the value and improtance of something when we lose it! i know! lets treasure our loved once!

thanks for the sweet reminder!

Beautiful story Misty.

I guess its human nature to take what we have and the people in our lives for granted. We always assume that they will be there at the end of the day, and only when they are gone from our lives do we miss them, do we realise the void that their absense has left.
