From what I had heard and read about Angads new avtaar and the blond streaks and the beard I was sceptical and embracing myself for the worst but I like others on this forum was blown away by the way Angad reborn as Zeb, looks. That bandana, the goatee, the glasses and the silver jewellery, a relief change from the bling he wore before could not disguise the masculinity of his face, that beautiful smile or that arrogance that was so evident in the first few episodes of kaisa yeh pyar hain, when he tormented Kripa. Zeb take a bow.
I have been trying to understand why Kripa betrayed Angad, the guy who made her heart throb, the guy she vowed to spend the rest of her life with, the guy with who'm her soul is so interwined that she can feel his every breadth and being, the guy who kicked his womanising ways to the kerb and who though never believed in marriage, sindoor or commitment was read to settle done in holy matrimony with her, the guy she broke all the barriers and shackles of society for by sleeping with before taking saat phera's, the guy who is so deeply entrenched in her soul, that despite being betrothed to someone else, she feels and remembers him everytime she breathes... Why o why Kripa?
I have a few theories which some of you may or may not agree with. The first question that arises in my mind is did she ever really love him?. My first and instinctive response would be in the affirmative, no, otherwise why would she testify like that on the stand, why would she condemn him to three years in the confines of a prison and why would she marry someone before the ink on the paper condemning Angad to jail was dry. These aren't the actions of a woman in love with small town solid Indian values. But my head and rationale kick in and make me think she must have loved him or why would she reject Prithvi for him initially, sleep with him and get herself pregnant and decide to keep her fatherless baby in the face of the taunts and jibes she would get from people at large. Angad was the first and last person she worshipped, and put on a pedestool. So If she loved him then why betray him?.
My second theory, the events instigated by others namely, Naina, kartik and Anita to separate the two love birds from a life of bliss leading to kripa losing everything weakened the foundations of their relationship so much that all it needed was a little huffing and puffing and would fall apart, which it did. Trust, that emotion which is the foundation of any relationship was lacking between Angad and Kripa despite their protestations of love and trust they made to each other in the loving tender moments they shared. The love that had bound and brought together was unable to survive the onslaught of hate of others resulting in the loss of trust. You can love someone as much as you want but without trust is there any chance of a relationship?.
Another possible solution may lie in the metamorphasis of Kripa from a strong vivacious, independent and self sufficient girl into an overbearing, overpossessive girl who could not stand the thought of anyone or anything getting in the way of her and Angad, not even Josh, Angad's best buddy who had got them back togther. The twisted images of angad and simone locked in passion which she conjured up clouded her rationale and logic. In kicked the spiteful, vengeful Kripa who let her head rule her heart fuelled by the memories of the earlier betrayal on angad's part, egged on by Prithvi who had his own hidden agenda and whom she was relying on like a human crutch.
I could go on but want to hear your views.
