Okay. Give me a moment here for the red haze to clear from my eyes. And let me just say that my TV screen very narrowly avoided being smashed in today over my extreme agitation on Angad's behalf and tremendous fury over the rest of his supposed friends and family and also, lets not forget, his devoted and loyal fiance.😡
I must admit that I had some, very few, but nevertheless some reservations about Angad's new avatar. But no more!!! After watching today's episode I cannot wait for him to come back and extract his revenge. I cannot wait for him to show hell to everyone for discarding his so cruelly and callously. And when he does, I'll be the one rooting the loudest for him. Go Angad! Show them what you've got and show them what they get for messing with you!!!!!!!!
So I sat down today to see what the scriptwriters were going to dish out for us today, in the second last episode before THE leap. And boy oh boy, was I in for a nasty shock or what???🤢
The episode started with Kripa breaking down in the courthouse and Angad being drawn almost irresistibly towards her when she sinks to the floor in despair, her anguish mirrored triple fold in his face, causing me to go all "awwwwwwww. Mera poor baby!!!" But the police men posted there intervene, and it's that fiend Prithvi who goes running to her, keeping up his chant of "KripAH! KripAH!" as always. Wanted to strangle him with the beads he was wearing.😡
Poor Shabbir tries to control the damage by telling the judge that Kripa wasn't feeling well due to the intense stress she had been under, and the judge postpones the hearing for the next day.
Cut to Kripa standing out in one of the corridors with Prithvi as usual standing guard besides her, when Shabbir goes up to her to inquire whether she was okay, in answer to which our Kripa madam drops the bombshell that she wants him to withdraw from the case.
Shabbir, thank God, appears to be the only person in this show with a sound head on his shoulders and remains undaunted by Kripa's oscillating emotions and rather goes to Angad's prison cell and after hearing his story, realizes that Angad made a mistake. And also that it was just that, a "mistake", and not some grand display of a loose and immoral character. And being a complete darling, promises to not only fight Angad's case but also to try to bring around Kripa. Hmph! Obviously he doesn't know about Kripa's stubborn (read, mule headed) streak like we do.
And what is up with the increasingly frequents Anitah-Mishty altercations that we are shown? Are they simply there to fill up the time or will they play some role in the future? Hmm! I wonder.
Anyways, Angad was puzzled over Simone's disclosure of their 'wild' night together and wants to talk to her. So the second set opens with Shabbir going to some random disco to track down the queen b**** from hell😡. He finds her and on his inquiring about what she was doing there feeds him some line about being there to forget her pain. Huh!?!?!?!?!?!
Shabbir passes on Angad's request to meet her and she goes to see him. And when Angad lambastes her, she sheds her crocodile's tears but not for long, because it was time for Revelation No. 1 for poor, poor Angad.
She gleefully tells him that she concocted the whole plan to get back at him for forgetting her in London for the past three years and that nothing really happened between them, because he passed out, and that now Kripa was going to forget him just as easily as he forgot her. Can you say vindictive!!!!!!!!!!!!! Phew.
Saying so, Simone twirls around to leave while Angad in a fit of rage, tries to grab her through the bars.
It's a good thing Iqbal's got the whole devastated/enraged look down so pat, because this was just the commencement of the shocks he would have to bear in today's episode.
Shabbir comes running as soon as she leaves and gets to hear all the gory details of Simone's little plan and appears as stunned as all of us at Simone's malicious vendetta.🤢
Cut to Kripa, lying prostrate with grief on her bed. And let me just ask, why the hell was Prithvi sitting glued to her side?😡 And what is with the disappearing acts that Kripa's parents and more-concerned-about-Kripa-then-her-own-beloved-grandson Dadi keep on pulling??? No seriously. Why do they apparently seem to drop off the face of the Earth every so often???
The phone rings and Kripa tells Prithvi that she is no state to talk to anyone and for him to please attend it. A decision you will live to regret, Kripa. Really, really regret!!!!!
It's Angoo baby calling from jail and he asks to speak to Kripa but on being informed by that conniving Prithvi that she had finally dropped off into a troubled sleep after crying all day long, confides in Prithvi about Simone's plan and asks him to pass it on. A decision that Angad will also live to regret, all right. He then actually thanks Prithvi, saying, "Tum nahin hotay toh najaane kya hota." Sigh! If only you knew Angad. If only you knew.
Okay. Repeat after me everybody, "We hate Prithvi!!!!!!!!!"😡
The third set is one everybody would be well of avoiding if they don't want their blood pressure rising to a dangerously high level out of sheer rage on poor Angoo baby's behalf.
It opens with that wretched, wretched Karthik coming to meet Angad in jail. This, btw, was time for Revelation No.2 for Angad.
Angad implores Karthik to get him out of there, to which Karthik cruelly replies, why should he. Angad, still showing some misguided faith in Karthik's sense of family ties, says that because he was one of their own.
And that's when Karthik decided to dispense with all the pretense altogether and verbally flays Angad, telling him that if it up to him he would leave Angad to rot in jail forever, that this was what he always wanted and then tells him to sign some papers dispossessing him from the family name and fortune, claiming that it was what their mom wanted. And saying that it was the least that he could do after dragging the family name through dirt with his actions.
And Angad looking like he had received a 40,000 volts ka jhatka, which he had, signs those papers.🤢
Did you see the look on his face? The poor, poor baby looked like his whole world was ending. All I wanted to do was go hug him and reassure him that everything would be fine and then go and shake Kripa till she came to her senses and tell her to get a grip and to wake up and smell the coffee. And then take a baseball bat to the rest of the ratpack in kyph. Grr! How I despise them all!!!!!😡😡😡
(Btw, Karthik's very easily No.2 on my most hated list. But the top spot is reserved exclusively for Prithvi.😡)
Cut to Angad being led to court, when he spots Kripa standing there and halts to speak to her. And in the mistaken belief that the beast Prithvi had passed on his message to Kripa tells her that after knowing the truth, he was sure that she would take the decision that would be best for them. I repeat, if only you knew Angad. If only you knew.
Time for Revelation No.3, Kripa's betrayal!!!😭
The hearing starts. Kripa is standing in the witness box and Shabbir approaches her and asks her once again if she thinks that Angad is capable of murder, and Kripa in an almost unforgivable act of injustice, replied that she thought that Angad was a lying, cheating fraud who was capable of murdering anybody to achieve what he wanted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The prosecutor goes in for the kill over this shocking (Well. Not really😕 i was expecting this from Kripa) and grossly unjust testimony, but Shabbir manages to get the judge to give them a bit more time for the last time.
A silent communication follows between A-K, with Angad going, almost resignedly, that today when your testimony could have set me free forever, you turned against me. And Kripa answering, that you compelled me to do this by sleeping with Simone!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot sympathize with Kripa. So she thinks that Angad personally wronged her, okay. Now what does she want? For Angad to be hanged for it? Today I was more disappointed in her then I could ever have believed possible. Because I thought all along that she would testify against Angad after being brainwashed into believing that he was actually guilty of Josh's murder, by Prithvi. But no. She took this decision on her own; simply to avenge herself over Angad's supposed infidelity. Well this certainly answers the hotly discussed topic of why Angad would not even spare Kripa, when he comes back to seek vengeance for all the wrongs committed against him.
Cut to Angad being once again escorted back to the police jeep outside the courthouse with everyone looking on. And when he's left, Naina confronts Kripa, asking her why she did this to her son, the person who laid everything on the line for her, Kripa. Naina got really agitated, so far so as to threaten to kill Kripa, and had to be restrained by Dilip. And for once, I found myself actually emphasizing with Naina. And on this dismal note, the episode ended.
The preview for tomorrow shows Kripa talking to Angad while he's in his cell. Angad tells her that it's such a pity that she doesn't trust me, to which Kripa counters that you remained quite when I wanted my questions answered. In reply to which Angad bursts out that Simone trapped him to avenge herself!!!
So this then was today's episode, the entire length of which was spent by me simmering in righteous indignation on Angad's behalf. Wonder what more injustices are going to be committed against him tomorrow. And don't forget that we'll also get to see him being sentenced to a life sentence tom. Sob!!!😭
You know, it's very easy to kick somebody in the face when they are down and out, but just wait till he comes back, once more restored to him former glory. The only advise I have for these backstabbing pieces of crap is to start running when he gets back because he is going to give them all hell. And Kripa's got it coming to her too. So cannot wait for the new Zeb to make her realize the error of her ways and for him to avenge himself for her betrayal.
So we have had the patch up, the numbered happy days, the supposed infidelity and the shocking testimony. Now it's time for the eagerly awaited face off in Dubai!!!!!
Enjoy!!!
Take care everyone!!!😊
Loads of love,
Amal
