Of foreign locales, time leaps & makeovers galore!!!
I must say. I like Ekta Kapoor's way of dealing with things; when life gets to be too much (read, storyline starts dragging) just fast-forward to a couple of years ahead, switching to some attractive new locale and of course, last but not the least, give the main protagonist a make over. Sigh! To be able to live in Ekta land.
Nothing much to recommend about this week, well except for Thursday. It was simply a prelude to the BIG leap!
On Monday we were subjected to poor Angoo baby being hauled off to jail and that weird attention-seeking lawyer's entry. Tuesday it was Kripa going to all the trouble of convincing the creepy lawyer to fight Angad's case only to discover that he was Prithvi's man all along, who then proceeded to present one of the worst criminal defense cases I have ever seen in my entire life, simply to do a complete about face and drop the case altogether at the end of the day at Prithvi's behest. To which I can only say, "good riddance to bad rubbish!"
Note to Ekta: start watching past seasons of 'The Practice'
Wednesday it was the new "I-have-lost-my-one-true-love-so-must-now-drown-all-my-sorro ws-in-girls-and-booze" lawyer's entry. I have nothing against the guy. Poor thing was the only one who displayed any kind of legal knowledge or for that matter common sense, whatsoever👏. Will also probably be the one to haul Angad out of whatever trouble that Prithvi is undoubtedly going to create next.
On Thursday, we had smooth lawyer no.2 proving his point with a bang about Angad indeed being innocent, Kripa conjuring up fairy-talish images of herself married to Angad, having babies together, Angad taking care of her and the kids and basically everything being completely hunky dory. Leaving all us with warm, fuzzy feelings too😳. But, alas, how can anything ever go right in evil Prithvi's presence and his faithful sidekick, Simone, of course😡. Wanted to tell Kripa to just let them be. But no, Kripa just had to get to the bottom of the whole matter, didn't she. So she did, hopelessly ensnaring herself in the web of deceit woven by the devious duo, Prithvi and Simone, in the process.
Lol. Loved the stinging slap she delivered to Simone, btw😃.
Poor Angad. He really does always leave all his explaining for too late, doesn't he? He got one thing right, when he said to Josh, "that with me and Kripa, it's always too late." Dj vu, anyone? Thus, all he could do was remain speechless, with his head hung low while Kripa first fearfully inquired, then on receiving her answer in the form of Angad's guilt ridden stance, proceeded to lambaste him for what he had done. Very powerful confrontation, with good acting by both Iq and Neha but the scene belonged to Neha all the way👏. Lol. But the way the creative heads chose to depict the scene where they showed Kripa's loving memories "shattering" was just downright lame😆.
So Kripa, looking on the verge of a complete collapse, comes to testify on Angad's behalf but breaks down pitifully, poor gal, on seeing Angad, who's just standing there looking like a tragic Greek hero. And it is anybody's guess what Kripa's going to blurt out in court. And what was with her telling that Shabbir guy to abandon the case? So, okay, now that she's discovered that Angad supposedly cheated on her, he's suddenly capable of the cold-blooded murder of his bestest pal too???
Sigh! What fools these mortals be!!!
So what I learned this week was:
- Kripa's crying skills have improved beyond recognition. Never trust a person who was/is crazily in love with you, then swears that he's just your friend now. He could actually be a psychotic killer in disguise. Angad needs to stop looking like a 3-yr old who just had his favourite toy snatched away from him. (Ooh! That's going to happen next week, all right😃.) Eavesdropping really doesn't do you any good. And more often then not, it really is a good idea to mind your own business and to hold your inquisitional urges in check. (Are you listening Kripa?) Ignorance really can be bliss. To steer clear away from mean b****** like Simone😡. The most efficient lawyers are the ones you look up on the net. Sighhhh! That A-K looked oh so cute together, playing at being happy family😳.
- And lastly and most importantly, to remember your words and actually stick to them. (Hello, A-K. This one's for you. Trust, Faith, Loyalty aren't just words. They are actually very admirable traits that we should all persevere to implement in our lives. You'd be surprised at the amazing results.)
Sigh! Poor Angad and Kripa always do seem to become a victim of circumstances, don't they? If I didn't know better I would say that their love is doomed but it's not. They'll just have to put up with an extraordinary amount of pain and obstacles before they can be together forever. Because theirs is what is called a 'fated' love, for better or for worse, it'll only ever be each other for them.
When I watched the baby scene on Thursday, it elicited the all too common tug at my heart to see Angad and Kripa looking so sweet together. To see the dreams that Kripa had dreamt about her future life with Angad. A life in which there would only be them and their kids and their love blanketing everything in their cozy little world. Because we knew that her dreams were about to splinter into a million pieces, her heart, her trust, her faith shatter into pieces. And Angad's agony was all too evident from the defeated expression on his face in the courtroom. Poor guy. Is he forever destined to think that he wrecked havoc with his love's life? (I'm remembering another tragic scene where Dadi informs him that their child is dead and he is the murderer!!!)
Once again these two are at a crossroads in their life, brought there by a mixture of many malevolent elements, and I'm afraid the way ahead is going to be painful and hurtful for both of them. My heart goes out to these two.
I came across a quote today, which instantaneously made me think of A-K and their love for each other:
I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times, in life after life, in age after age forever.
~Rabindranath Tagore
This is the essence of the Angad-Kripa love story, is it not?
Well. Only a few more days and then we'll be shown the return of 'The Angad' or should I say 'Zeb' (ugh!). Sigh! Though this time, it'll be with golden streaks, multi-hued hair mascaras, trashy jewellery and God knows what not. But it's okay; a little fashion catastrophe is certainly not going to stop our hearts from going all a flutter over this delicious prospect. Hehe!😳😛
Forgive me for asking this, but why do these 'makeovers' and name changes allegedly render a character unrecognizable to all and sundry? From, what I understand, Zeb becomes a big-time star in his own right, yet in today's world of electronic media and jet-setting lifestyles, nobody recognizes him for who he is?????? Kudos to Kripa for spotting him with her eagle eyes.😆
But then she just has to spoil it all by going running to Prithvi with the info. Uff! I cannot stand that Prithvi, the wily wolf in the harmless sheep's guise😡.(although Amit deserves a round of applause for portraying the negative Prithvi so well👏) I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that Kripa doesn't end up marrying him. And I have to admit, as much as I'm looking forward to the yummy A-K altercations, I also cannot wait to see Angad extract his revenge from the despicable Prithvi. God. Somebody ought to go push him off the helipad of the Burj-ul-Arab or something while they are in Dubai, leaving A-K free to prance around in the sand dunes or traipse around the shopping malls and resorts without Prithvi constantly trying to mess up everything with his machiavellian schemes and plotting and planning.
I've read somewhere, some newspaper article I think, that Angad and Kripa will re-unite in Dubai?!?!?!?!?!? What do you guys think? Well. They must, because they aren't in Dubai indefinitely, just for a week. So if they don't, then what is the point of going there?😕 Unless, Ekta ji just wanted an impressive new launch place for the introduction of Zeb. And then he simply comes back to India to extract his revenge??????
And why does he want revenge from Kripa in the first place?😕 Will she really testify against Angad in court or bungle up his trial in any other way???????? Just had a horrible thought, what if she, God forbid, marries Prithvi to get back at Angad? Ugh!!!🤢
Okay that thought is too horrible to contemplate. Moving on, what if he does what lawyer no.2 was doing, turns to booze and only goes back to his womanizing ways as a result of Kripa ditching him and then starts resenting Kripa for the agony she put him through???
As you can doubtless see, my head is in a whirl trying to figure out what's going to happen next???😕😕😕
So guys, what do you think is going to happen next week, both in the courtroom and on the sunny shores of Dubai???
All I know is that I cannot wait for Dubai!!!
Cuz if I can't have Angad and Kripa all lovey-dovey then I'll just take them kicking and screaming.😆
Let the chemical warfare begin!!!😃😛😉
Take care everyone!😊
Loads of love,
Amal
As perfume doth remain
In the folds where it hath lain,
So the thought of you, remaining
Deeply folded in my brain,
Will not leave me:
all things leave me:
You remain.
