Every year Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with enthusiasm, the festival brings happiness along with it. TV celebs as well are in the forefront in celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, many actors bring the idol at their places and here is one such actor Gaurav S Bajaj who celebrates the festival by bringing the idol at his place.
Every year you celebrate Ganesh Chaturti so what special will you do this year? "This year I am more elated to celebrate the festival as I am celebrating it with my wife for the first time. I have a professional who carves the idol for me every year. Sakshi my wife will be looking after the preparations and this time she will be looking after everything. Each year I keep a theme , last year we had peacock theme the Idol and the mandap looked beautiful but this time I have kept it simple. The Idol's mukut is laced with diamonds and pura shringar diamondka hai.
"I celebrate the festival for 11 days and all my relatives will be visiting. This time it's going to be more exciting as my in laws are coming to celebrate the festival with me," he answered
What is you favorite delicacy of the festival? He avers "My favorite delicacy during Ganesh Chathurti is Halwa which is made by my wife herself it's mouthwatering. I also like besan ke laddoo. I forget my diet during Ganesh Chathurti, I don't have a control over sweets."
Do you visit your friends place during the festival "It is difficult to visit at my friends place during Ganpati but I manage to visit their places too. "
What is your idea of celebrating the festival? He says "I don't know but there is some kind of attachment with Ganpati Bappa. I can look into his eyes and talk for hours, people might sound this funny but this is true. Some times I cry while talking to him, automatically I am energized with the arrival of this festival. The idea to bring Bappa is not to fulfill my wishes, it's just that I feel happy and eagerly wait for the festival every year."
What about Visarjan? "We do the Visarjan in a simple manner mai khud visarjan karta hu. I get emotional during Visarjan because during 11 days I am personally attached with Bappa. I cannot express the feeling I have while Visarjan it seems like somebody stayed with you for sometime and has left you alone."
