TOI Abhishek Awasthi inspired by Salman Khan!

Abhishek Awasthi currently seen as inspector Gabru Singh in Manish Goswami's "Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai" is thoroughly enjoying his stint on the show.

The actor quips, "The role I am playing is phenomenal and is giving me hundred percent exposure. I have so many shades to experiment with, it's enriching as a performer".


Abhishek, who is a huge fan of Salman Khan excitedly says that his character is inspired from his favorite actor's popular character, Chulbul Pandey, "My character Gabru Singh is a lot like Chulbul Pandey, he wears the same bracelet like him, he says dialogues in the same style, I too really like Salman and idolize him".
Dabangg being his favorite movie excites Abhishek even more to work hard

Abhishek was earlier in the news for his relationship with item girl Rakhi Sawant but now he no longer wants to be associated with his past. He is happily engaged to a non industry girl and hopefully will tie the knot by 2014. Abhishek Awasthi is also a fantastic dancer but for now he is focusing on his acting career, "Dance is an inseparable part of me and I will soon concentrate on it too, hopefully it shall benefit me," concludes.
