'I was told to toe the line. I was asked not to question...I was being
told not to get involved...i was asked to quit'
'I needed somesome logic to explain what I was doing in the serial n
why But none was offered. I can't work like a robot.I am an actor who
works with conviction.I'm a creative person. Time n again I differed
with the scenes, which were written for me. Other actors may go thro'
their scenes without looking left, right or centre mechanically
pouting their lines. But I needed to understand the graph of my
character. I was in luv with my character'
'I tried my best to trash out the issues. But it was not happening
They wanted the whole drama involving Sujal but quite illogically. I
couldn't digest that. i even asked them to push me into the backdrop
if they wanted the illogical things to continue. But that too they did
not heed..'
'Yes' this time i was asked to leave, Last time when I had re-entered
the serial , i thought things would change. but almost everytime I was
asked to toe the line. I was asked not question the happenings in the
story, even if I strongly fely they were illogical. In others words I
was asked not to get involved with the show. This time perhaps my
questions became too much for them'.
'I have no problems with my co-stars (the guys that is ), we play
squash , badminton & even hang out together at times.We party
together.This feeling is forcefully being percolated amongst people.
It is absolutely hogwash. Even now I call up these guys when they give
a good shot.'
'I won't lie. I try not to see KTH but it brings back so may memories
I shared with my co-stars. It's not easy to forget that. At times it's
painful. But it's O.K. All is well with Rajeev K.'
'Yes. All is well with Rajeev K. Am not having any second thoughts. My
fans have stood by me. I'm flooded with letters, phone calls n SMS
saying that I have done the right thing. They are giving me a lot of
strength'.
'Many Balaji unit people n co-stars were persuading me to . stop
asking questions they told me TRPs are fine. Why do u need to be so
particular? But I couldn't carry on.I loved the character Sujal so
much that I always gave it my 100%. But there came a stage where I
could give only 40% thats when I didn't want to drag on. I needed
explainations to give my 100%.
On the risk of leaving balaji & Star - ' True, it is definitely a
risk. But I don't think anybody can change anyone's destiny. If I
realise that the system here can kill an actor if he walks out of a
certain production house n certain channel I might decide to
return..Let's see what destiny has in store for me.'
on TB - 'I have an amazing role'.
'Moreover I have some good offers in the pipeline. Many television n
film producers are approaching me too. Soon I may sign a few projects.
but I'm not in a hurry. I'm not going to panic n prove a point. I may ask for logics in my scripts but I don't follow the logics in
my life'
'Wish me luck. I have done something , which was right in the present
scenario. I can't go on living in future tense, while remaining in an
uncomfortable state of mind in the present.'
