Kyunki, Kahiin go five days

Post Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which now airs five days a week on Star Plus, two more Balaji serials Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahiin To Hoga will also air Monday to Friday.

This Friday dressing gameplan is to herald the arrival of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 which begins August 5. Both these serials will air on all weekdays from the same date.

According to the channel, "The reason for extending Kasautii to Friday was the extremely high viewer demand for television's most popular love story, and the need to strengthen Star Plus' weekends for KBC 2."

The two more shows on the same day post the telecast of KBC 2 aims to keep the viewers glued to the idiot box before and after KBC 2.

Says producer Ekta Kapoor about her shows going high five, "It is the channel's decision. They want to build the Friday line-up for KBC 2."

The channel, meanwhile, claims that the very first Friday episode of Kasautii fetched high viewership ratings which were the highest for the show across the entire week.

Incidentally, from June 17, Zee made its daily show Sarrkkar go five days. Kasautii went on Fridays, too, from June 24. On Sony, at the same hour from 8 pm to 9pm is their reality show Fame Gurukul.

Under ordinary circumstances... I would have been really very happy... (had Rajeev been there)... but now... who cares???

Star is giving a sinking show 5 days a week... they're nuts... nobody will watch it.
