Vikas Sethi is made to shoot inspite of being injured

Vikas Sethi is taking his macho image too seriously, shooting non stop for two shows, Kahiin To Hoga and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. To make matters worse, the actor injured himself while doing some stunts for Kahin… and was made to shoot inspite of his condition.

The actor was rushed to the hospital. "A nerve in my upper thigh was damaged while doing stunts. The doctors asked me to take complete bed rest for some days as moving around could aggravate the problem even further," says Vikas.

But the repercussions of not reporting on the sets the next day weighed the actor down. "Look, it's a daily business and I'm aware of the damages that the producers have to bear when an actor doesn't report for shooting. I was told that I have very important scenes to shoot the next day and there was no way I could cancel that."

But wouldn't working affect his health and pose a serious problem. "I wasn't allowed to take leave and was shooting every single day. Not that I'm complaining, its work after all and I'm damn serious about it. I told the unit members not to give me too many scenes where I'm required to stand. In most scenes they took close ups and mug shots."

So, how is he feeling now? "I'm recovering," he says. The actor will require physiotherapy for a couple of weeks before his leg is fit again. "I want to recover completely and soon because I'm arranging a New Year's party for my family and friends at home. It'll require a lot of arrangements and running around to do. I always want my New Year parties to be the best and for that I don't trust anyone with the arrangements but myself.
