TV star faints twice on sets

Mrinal Deshraj collapses on location twice on the same day!

HARSHADA REGE Times News Network

One more TV actor has fallen prey to the gruelling soap factory work hours. This time it's actor Mrinal Deshraj who plays Shipra Arora in Star Plus' Kahin to Hoga. And it would seem once was not enough, for it was not until she fainted a second time that pack up was announced. Confirming the incident, Mrinal says, "I had been in Delhi to host a show and when I flew back, I went directly to the sets to shoot. Later that day, I had to go to Chandigarh to meet my sister who has had a baby, but I couldn't get any time off even when I returned. I landed in Mumbai at 2 am and went directly to the sets for my 4 am schedule." Mrinal agrees that gruelling working hours on TV are a problem with apparently no solution, "Fainting on the sets has become a common occurrence. But there is no way out. We have deadlines to meet. The production house does try to understand our plight, but one can't just take a day off and hamper the shooting." The other TV stars who have fainted on sets in recent times are Roshni Chopra, Ashlesha Sawant and Gazal Rai.
