INT: Kashish did not marry Mr Ahluwalia

Aamna Sharif talks to Sneha Hazarika about the new Sujal, her alleged dislike for Surveen Chawla, the co-stars she is friendly with and more.

There are rumours that Kahiin To Hoga is coming to an end. Are they true?
Hey, this is news to me. If they are rumours, I definitely can't believe them or take them seriously. But I don't think the show is coming to an end. If I have my way, the show will just go on and on and on.

Will Kartik be the new man in Kashish's life?
No, not at all. Nothing on those lines has been thought as yet. But I don't know what they are planning to do in the future. The character might take a turn.

By now, Kashish has been married a number of times. How does it feel to play a character who keeps on getting married?
Actually Kashish has been married only twice. She first married Piyush and after his death, she married Sujal who was her original love. And then she had one engagement, which was a fake one. That was a relevant part of the story. So I don't think she is the most married woman on TV.

So what about old Mr Ahluwalia?
That track was a relevant part of the storyline. It was an understanding meant to expose Charu's (Surveen Chawla) killer. I can't talk too much about it.

Who are you close to on the sets?
I am very close to Dimple (Sanjana). Earlier, I was very close to Poonam (Joshi) too who played Mahek but unfortunately she is no longer a part of the show. I am friendly with Deepakji too (Deepak Parashar). He is a senior and I respect him a lot.

How are things with Gurpreet Singh who plays Sujal?
Perfectly all right. Gurpreet and I interact as professionals and everything is normal between us. Of course, beyond work there is no friendship.

There were talks about you not getting along with Surveen Chawla who played Charu in the show?
I don't know how such things got into print. They were just insane rumours. I had a purely professional relationship with Surveen and there wasn't any problem between us. Nowadays I just let such rumours pass. I hope I will have them to rest now.

Tell us about your future projects?
I am very happy with Kahiin To Hoga now. But in the future I don't want to take on another daily show. Actually I want to concentrate fully on films now. On television, I would prefer to do a weekly show, it could even be a Pakistani serial. I like doing shows too.

Why did you turn down Nach Baliye?
Those kind of shows are not my forte. I like dancing, but I would prefer to do stage shows.
