Celebs say 'NO' to reservation!

Should the quota system prevail or should merit be the only criteria for admission? This is a question that haunts both the administration and students alike....This system has now started to take a toll not only on the education system of the country, but also on the general welfare of the common people. Here's hoping that this long drawn battle finds its logical end soon.

Riya V Anandwala spoke to a few celebs who were quick to say 'no' to reservation!

	Rajeev Khandelwal: I believe in equality, and especially when it comes to an issue of this sort. There should be reservation in no field at all. When I was in college there were around 30 to 35 per cent of reserved seats for OBC and SC/ST. And this happened in all streams which included the Indian Army and other services too. Let everyone compete after a certain level. The basic education should be given to all, but after that everything should be on merit.
	Vipul Gupta: I am totally against this entire issue. I believe that everybody should get admission on their merit alone. In the case of medical colleges, we need genuine doctors, we are not in a position to compromise on students who have the kind of intellect required for fields like this. And I have a simple question for the Parliament, if they talk about keeping seats reserved for SC/ST, why are they against reserving 33 per cent seats for women in Parliament? There they want women to enter Parliament on merit!!!
	Chaitanya Choudary: We need more reservation for the open category, and if that is not permissible then please increase the number of seats in each and every college. In this case, the middle class faces the maximum problems, for the simple reason that they work hard and have monetary constraints too. It's not at all fair that students who slog day in and day out have to face such problems.
	Vishal Singh: Things have changed to a great extent that now I am in a confused state! It is a highly debatable issue. According to me, seats should be given to students who deserve it, that's on merit. But then I believe that to a certain limit, reservations should be there for underprivileged students, because now a days it's ultimately about money. And there is no place as such where one needs reservation, I think it all revolves around competency.
	Rajev Paul: Just imagine, reserved seats for people in NASA? And then visualise the repercussions too! I am totally against this system. It's fine till a very primary level, but otherwise, no. If a girl who secured 97 per cent in her ICSE exams commits suicide because she was not sure about her future, then imagine how the average students must be feeling! Where is India going? Tomorrow, if we need a doctor's help we will think twice before we let anybody touch us - thanks to the quota system!

Rajeev ke khayal mujhse kitne milte hain 😃.

I have the same thinking about reservation as Rajeev.According to me even 30-35% is too much. There should NO reservation at all. Everyone should have equal chance & should select on merit base. In medical feild resevration is a curse for humanity.

Just Think can that person will be good doctor who scored 97% or that person who scored 35% ( even less than it ).same thing happend to my elder sister twice. she got higher marks but she lost her seat to that girl who scored very low marks reason that girl was SC/BC.Thank god later my sister got seat but socho us student ke baare main uss ke saath kya beet rahi hoti hai. I can feel that bcz of my sister.

Din raat padai karo aur seat mil jaye kisi lower marks wale ko😡 just bcz he/she is OBC & SC/BC & we belong to higher cast.yeh kahan ka insaaf hai😡

Pari yaar agar main India main hoti to zaroor strike join karti tum logon ke saath😭😭😭.Lekin meri support yahan se hi tum logon ke saath hai. Tell other people too that people out of India thinks same as u.

I m totally against resevration😡 It is a curse for our country😡

they need 2 go 2 1st grade where students r taught we shud treat every1 equal...
n who says dnt give any facilities...
i say do give ...
let them sit in entrance exam
if they clear give them free scholarships
but reservations 😡 😡 😡

I know pari .wahi to agar 30% itne jayada hain to 50% o My God😡😡. fir to medical feild ka bhagwaan hi malik hai.lagta hai yeh log puraani baatein bhul gaye hai. Do u ramemder what heppend last time jab Mandal Commission aaya tha. In politicions ko sirf votes se matlab hai aur kuch nahin Yeh desh ke future ke saath khel rahein hain😡.

Pari Yeh log agar compete kar sakte phir to baat hi kya thi😆. Inhein pata hai ke resevration to mil hi jani hai padne ki kya zaroorat hai.& Pari Govt. scholarship to deti hai jiske ache marks aate hain, lekin inn logon ka pet iss se nahin pharta.

i totally agree with RAJEEV..basic education should be given to everybody then they should compete.. it is a competitive world & if u can't face the competition than we can't move forward in life.. i think reservation se achcha hain ki people compete & win... 😃

i agree with Rajeev Bhaiya basic education should given to everybody...he put in good explanation for the government...tdy my love for him increase even more....i am proud to be his fan sis....well done Rajeev Bhaiya you did it again as a india citizen....
