Actor Gurpreet Singh walked into the Balaji camp when it was desperately looking for someone to replace Rajeev Khandelwal in Kahin To Hoga. And even though he succeeded in filling the void, his acceptance as Sujal has ruffled a lot of feathers. Sources claim that he and Khandelwal share cold vibes.

And it doesn't seem like Singh's relationship with his co-star Aamna Shariff is too hot either. The actor himself has been tight-lipped about his rapport with Aamna. Even as he fielded questions about her, he tried to be as diplomatic as he could. And although he goes gaga about how happy he is about being accepted as Sujal, a question about Shariff makes him snap. He retorts, "How can I talk about somebody I hardly know? Certainly, we're working together in a show but there is no personal equation involved. Aamna is far from being a friend. She is just an acquaintance. That's about it!"

But how is it possible to not know the person you work with? "I have no time to bond with anyone. I don't pick up fights with my colleagues. But there is also no time to befriend them."

So, how did he take the blow when Aamna refused to perform on stage with him at a recent award ceremony? "Not wanting to perform with me was completely Aamna's prerogative. I can't impose these things on her especially when I barely interact with her. And above all, why should I ask her for any favours?"

But didn't he confront her about it? "Why must I?" comes the reply. "If Balaji or anyone else wants her to perform with me, they should convince her to do so. I've too much pride and self respect to go and question her on why she chose to not perform with me."

As the conversation moves to his personal life, his alleged marriage with his mysterious model girlfriend comes to the fore. The actor, like always, vehemently denies the wedding despite the fact that their wedding pictures were splashed in a newspaper. Tell him that and he asks quizzically "What pictures?" I refuse to accept or deny my marriage. Why am I expected to bring my personal life in focus? Why does the world want to know whether or not I am married? I'm here to act. Why can't I be accepted the way I am?"Surely with that kind of an attitude, it might just be a little difficult.
