| Pune, March 23: The swarm of girls outside this jewellery store on JM Road attracted many curious glances. But the girls couldn't be bothered as they waited for simmering telly world couple Rajeev Khandelwal aka Sujal and Amna Shariff aka Kashish in the afternoon heat. The duo seen in the serial Kahiin To Hoga were at the Oyzterbay showroom on JM Road to promote Sangini Diamond jewellery where we caught up with them. So many women are waiting for you. What is it in you? Rajeev: I don't know if they drool over me, or the character Sujal. Female adulation definitely gives you a great feeling, but, I think they like Sujal. Rajeev: I am not on the run to be a Shah Rukh Khan. I want to slowly move up the ladder with dedication. Currently, a lot of movie offers are pouring in, but, I will take up a role only when it clicks. I am not hell bent on starting with a lead role. Amna: I would not mind venturing into films, provided the character is as big or bigger than this. I will consider the option of parallel cinema, once I make a good debut in a commercial flick. Does stardom mean gaining an 'attitude' Rajeev: You have to adopt an attitude. I feel it is more of a defense mechanism. When I go out to parties and other places, there are some women ready to rip my shirt apart. So, If you do not have an attitude, they might end up doing that. Amna: I would not term this as attitude, but, if you are too sweet, people take you for granted, especially, with girls. So I have to be very careful. But if you have a clear head, you don't need to worry. Projects in hand Rajeev: I am doing something on the silver screen, which should be out this May. Amna: We have acted as co-stars, in a small 13 episode Pakistani serial. We have just finished shooting for it. Favourite sliver screen couple Sujal and Kashish, they reply. |
