Previously on Vansh Katha
The events that lead to Shlok Singhania's death are recalled by a crazed Vidhya. Vansh and Tariksha finally leave her when they realize she doesn't know anymore about Black Snake than she's told them. As soon as they leave, Black Snake pays Vidhya a visit.
Vansh Katha – Episode Forty Six
Devyani's House…
Devyani is on the phone with a doctor from the asylum.
Devyani: WHAT??? What do you mean she's in a coma?
Doctor: I don't know what happened! Your daughter and Vansh came over to pay her a visit and she was fine, I think she even spoke to them for a long time. But about half an hour after they left I went to check on her and found her lying unconscious on the ground.
Devyani: What the hell happened?
Doctor: I don't know, they're running tests right now but for now all I can say is that she's in a coma.
Devyani: That's just great. Keep me informed on what happens.
She hung up on the doctor and dialed Vansh's number.
Vansh: Hi Badi Ma what's up?
Devyani: You tell me.
Vansh: What do you mean?
Devyani: Can you explain to me why Vidhya Chopra has wound up in a coma?
Vansh: WHAT?
Devyani: I just got a call from the asylum telling me that you and Tariksha were the last people to see her and that she's in a coma now.
Vansh: That can't be possible. She was fine when we spoke to her and even when we left.
Devyani: Well we'll just have to wait and see what happens now. Were you able to get anything out of her at least?
Vansh: No she just told us a few things about the events that lead to mom's imprisonment. She didn't tell us about the night itself though.
Devyani: Well just hope that she pulls out of this one Vansh because we need her to identify this Black Snake person when the time comes.
Vansh: I know. I'll talk to you later Badi Ma.
Devyani: Ok watch out for yourself and be more careful ok?
Vansh: Will do.
They hung up.
Tariksha: What was that all about?
Vansh: The doctors just found Vidhya in a coma!
Singhania Mansion
Sidharth: What do you mean she's in a coma? Fine, fine, just call me if there's a change.
Poornima: What's going on Sidharth?
Sid: That was the asylum. Vidhya Bhabi has gone into a coma.
Poornima: How the hell did that happen?
Sid: They don't know but they suspect that she may not have been taking her medicine on time. Either that or she tried to take everything together.
Poornima: I feel so bad for her. Isn't there something we can do?
Sid: Unfortunately there isn't. And one more thing. Make sure Nithika doesn't know about this because it could open up a lot of old wounds ok?
Poornima: But Sidharth…
Sid: No buts! Poornima please remember that there is a greater risk involved here.
Poornima: And how long are we going to pay the price for that?
Sid: For as long as we have to. I'm late for a meeting. See you at dinner.
He walked out leaving Poornima in a daze. Unknown to both of them, Shastra has overheard the whole conversation.
Shastra: (to herself) What the hell is going on with these two?
Manav's Office…
Dharm: Hi mind if I come in?
Manav: Dharm Bhaiyya! Of course, you don't have to ask.
Dharm: Thank you. So how has your day been?
Manav: Not bad. What brings you here?
Dharm: I need to talk to you about something if that's ok?
Manav: Yea sure. What is it?
Dharm: It's about mom and dad.
Manav: What about them?
Dharm: Don't you think it's about time they came back home?
Manav: What?
Dharm: Listen, I know that what they did was wrong and I know how hard it was to go through all of that, the things they said to Nithika and Bindiya were horrible. But they are our parents.
Manav: I get that and I'm all for bringing them back.
Dharm: Thank you.
Manav: But I can't.
Dharm: What? Why?
Manav: Bhaiyya I spent years hating you, my marriage was falling apart as soon as it began and I was living in my father's shadow. In the past year that they've been gone all of these problems have been fixed.
Dharm: Yes but it's been a year now and I'm sure they've learnt their lesson.
Manav: Maybe they have but I'm not willing to take that chance.
Dharm: Come on Manav. They brought us up and gave us everything we wanted and made us who we are. You can't turn your back on that!
Manav: You're right. But I also can't turn my back on what they did. Look I'm not saying I don't ever want them to come back. Just not right now. You need to give me some time.
Dharm: Manav…
Manav: Bhaiyya, please.
Dharm: Fine. I guess I'll see you at home then.
Manav: Yep.
Devyani's House…
Tariksha arrives home.
Devyani: Taru, I was wondering when you would get home.
Tariksha: Oh we went to get a bite to eat.
Devyani: So what's going on with the two of you?
Tariksha: Who me and Vansh?
Devyani: No you and Prince Charles.
Tariksha: Mom… If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times not to butt into my personal life.
Devyani: Well when it comes to Vansh then it concerns me too don't you think?
Tariksha: How so?
Devyani: He calls me Badi Ma doesn't he?
Tariksha: Yes but that doesn't mean he needs your approval on who to date!
Devyani: Is that what the two of you are doing?
Tariksha: MOM!
Devyani: Now listen Taru. He may not need my approval to date but he does need my approval to date you.
Tariksha: Oh really?
Devyani: Yes. I mean it's a given that I would say yes but still.
Tariksha: Well he wanted to talk to you about it but I then we decided to wait. We didn't know how you would react.
Devyani: I'm sure.
Tariksha: Mom I need your advice on something.
Devyani: Good grief it might rain cats and dogs tonight!
Tariksha: Mom I'm serious.
Devyani: Fine what is it?
Tariksha: Look at these papers. I got someone to do research for me and they found these.
Devyani: What are they?
Tariksha: Read them. I mean I wanted to find something to help Vansh but instead I found something that would destroy him completely.
Devyani: I see that.
Tariksha: You don't look surprised.
Devyani: No I don't. That's because I've known about this all along.
Tariksha: Mom if you knew why haven't you said anything?
Devyani: Because like you said it would destroy Vansh.
Tariksha: Yes but what's going to happen when the truth does come out?
Devyani: I don't know. But I do have a feeling the truth will come out very soon.
Tariksha: What do you mean?
Devyani: Listen Taru… Not matter what happens you need to stay out of this ok. I have a bad feeling about things right now and I just don't want Vansh to loose you.
Tariksha: What are you talking about?
Devyani: What I'm trying to say is that no matter what happens, you must never tell him that you knew about this.
Tariksha: But mom…
Devyani: You asked for my advice didn't you?
Tariksha: Yes but…
Devyani: Well I'm giving it to you. Don't tell Vansh the truth. When it does come out we will deal with it but even when it does you pretend like you didn't know.
Tariksha: Mom that's not…
Devyani: Do you love him or don't you?
Tariksha: Of course I do.
Devyani: Do you want to loose him?
Tariksha: No I don't.
Devyani: Then let it go.
Devyania got up and walked away leaving Tariksha to think about what she had said and the more she thought about it, the more she knew that her mother was right.
Tariksha: Fine. I'll keep my mouth shut. But God help him when he finds out the truth!
