Say cheese! The Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii team get together. Needless to say, this was one day the vamps left their stylish bindis and evil thoughts in the studios, and enjoyed the festival of colours instead. Rang Barse, STAR TV's special on Holi, will air on Star Plus at 8 pm on March 20.
Swetaa Keswani made waves with her bad-good-bad act in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. She was also seen in a rather villainous avatar Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand.
Soon after, the svelte Swetaa succumbed to the lure of films and opted out of television; she signed on for a meaty role in the Sonu Nigam starrer, Love In Nepal and an item number in Tauba Tauba. Swetaa will be seen next in an English film, The Memsahib, directed by Kruti Majmudar and starring Parvin Dabas, Glenn Fitzgerald and Emily Hamilton.
Kiran Karmakar, who plays Om in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, shares a warm hug with his wife Rinku.
The two met on the sets of the popular show -- where they play siblings! -- in September 2000. By December, Kiran -- who is a Maharashtrian -- and Rinku, whom Kiran describes as a typical Punjaban, were madly in love. Despite mild parental objections -- Kiran's parents felt they were rushing into marriage -- they were married on March 1, 2001. They now have a baby boy, Ehsaan.
