All kahaanis come to an end. And one of Ekta Kapoor's longest running show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is no different.
The show, which has been going on for almost seven years, is going off air by and September end or early October.
The reasons for the show being discontinued are not clearly known. Balaji Telefilms is working to bring the show to a logical conclusion.
Earlier, buzz was that Kahaani…might be replaced by Rajan Sahi's romantic show. However, a source said, "The show which will replace Kahaani…will be another of Ekta's shows."
"Star Plus is quite happy with the show. It is just that the story can't be stretched any further.
Star and Balaji had a long discussion a few days ago, and in the best interests of the viewers, they took a decision to end the show," our source added.
Anupama Mandloi (Senior Creative Director, Star India) and Ekta Kapoor remained unavailable for comment.
