As long as they don’t justify discrimination on the basis of skin colour, it is fine. People still get judged for being dark. Not showing it on TV doesn’t mean people will stop doing it. In fact it is important that it is shown on mass media in such a way that people understand that it is absolutely wrong.

For a change why can't the writers write equal parts to male and female actors in a story/show. eg. stories based on dark skin, discrimination in family, beautiful ugly, educated-uneducated, rich poor, class etc etc. why only show women let men also suffer like women, let both the genders overcome the challenges equally, then only true equality will prevail. what say?

The Indian mindset is that ladka can be fair/dark/handsome/ugly. Doesn’t matter. Bas ladki should be ‘fair’ because that is how Indians define beauty! A man is judged by his professions and talents while women are still judged mostly by looks. Sad reality.

I cannot believe this @YHCstan that you are indirectly favouring this show ! Well you can do that after all its your choice. I just said.

I am actually quite bored with the template of shows these days where the leads are always quite well off. Specifically the ML family will be extremely rich. Very rarely do shows break this pattern.

Lol I am not favouring the show and I am not going to watch it. In fact I didn’t even play that promo. 😆

For instance people here were against Anupama being a doormat. I said back then that as long as they show that I’ll treating a woman like that is not fine, it’s okay to show her being ill treated. But ultimately they have to show that it is wrong.
