Rohit has had an epiphany. All it takes is a moment, after all. Epiphanies are almost always unguarded. And from what they've show, he is still in denial.

In his heart he has already moved on but the stubbornness that defines his persona, refuses to accept that. He holds on to physical things as they tie him almost compulsively. It's also a reminder of his fallibility. Surgeons tend to have a God-complex; and we all know, Rohit almost does.

As a surgeon, he is is supposed to be devoid of emotions in order to do his job. Clinical. Methodical. They've depicted him a somebody who shows no hesitancy in the treatment protocol because he has been trained to act so. Unfortunately, there is no manual for the matters of the heart. The best of people, and not just surgeons, have another side of them that not everyone could like or be privy to.

Forget about how he got confused, he does not know how to compose himself or how to behave properly when something is going wrong, he just starts throwing tantrums like a young child, for example in yesterday episode when he hold the collar of the guard and then sat down with the candles in his hands....well this is the fault of the CV'S, of the director while directing him the director himself forgot that the character is a surgeon, but they make him act like a rich brat...

@BOLD this is also my question.

Sorry this might come of as rude but are doctors not supposed to be humans? I am a doctor and yes, we do call quick shots for patients because that's our job! In our personal life, we are normal human beings who have a tough time deciding what to wear to a party, how to handle our love life etc. Rohit is confused about his feelings, like any other human being would have been, infact he is definitely going to be more confused than other people because he blames himself for being the reason behind his girlfriend being in a Comatose state.

No offence meant, just putting my POV forward :)

P.S.- Rohit is a also a rich brat who has a certain superiority complex.

I don't know if I necessarily agree that ones realisation of love always has to come from within. The feeling has to be from within but very often it is an external force or voice that makes you realise that your feeling of friendship in some cases or physical attraction is others has changed to love. Rohit was doing things in the last few episodes that indicates that he has fallen in love or has some intense feeling towards Sonakshi. For example the way he tried to help her even without knowing she had done the party for Pooja, the way he called he phone when he was upset about forgetting the birthday rather than Raima's... Having said that I do think a confession would be premature. I wish they would take more time with it.

I think you are right realisation can be triggered bully an external factor but has to be from within but definitely cannot be imposed or forced. I think what Rohit is doing right now is a bit forced (I am not getting a correct word to describe it) but it is definitely not from within, it can be instantaneous but the moment it is, your world changes. I think he may confess his feelings to Sonakshi but the real realisation would dawn upon him only once Raima enters. I am also sure with the current state of his feelings he will be on shaky ground once Raima is out of coma. That is when Sona will get hurt really bad and might decide to leave him. This is the point where I think the real apology and most of the OS/ TS and FF’s would come true. 🤞 Ubtil then lets chill and wait for the CV’s to worry and enjoy the track 😊

That’s not out of character for Rohit to behave irrationally. He has done that before and he is doing that now. He is someone who acts before he thinks and this has been established many times in the show. His feelings for Sona were there from a long time. Not like he felt something during kidnapping drama. Just before nabbing Sumit Ajith would have told Rohit that there is a connection between him and Sona and they make a cute pair. Rohit does not tell him off right away. Instead he thinks about Sona for a bit and then suddenly his thoughts are interrupted by a flashback of Raima’s mom slapping him. Then he tells Ajith that he cannot fall for anybody. So logically speaking Sona was in thoughts for a very long time. And then post that a lot happened between them. He was already falling for Sona without realising it. The very fact that he compared Sona with his most precious asset ie his hands says it all. He fears losing his hands more than his life. He will probably prefer to die than living a life losing his hands that he uses to save lives. So for him Sona is not his life but his hands without which his life is worth nothing. He needed a push. Yes I admit the sequence was filmy but some bit of filmy drama is acceptable in all stories 😆

Whatever you say makes sense.

But.

The way he blames sona for his own actions was a bit far fetched. Filmy scenes are allowed, but venting his frustrations on sona wasn't right. Rohit comes across as a very sane, but bipolar person. Can you picture the guy playing dhol without abandon screaming at sona?

Did she invite him to celebrate visarjan as though he was hosting the ceremony? He was even ready to stay at her place in the morning. Did she ask him to? Acting as though he's smitten one moment and trash talking her the second moment. Something is not right here.

Rohit is temperamental and I get it coz I have seen something similar to that in life. He ends up venting out on people he loves the most and does not acknowledge their presence till life puts him in a situation where he might end up losing that person. I get it coz I have seen that happening around me. Not defending the show or the actors coz God forbids I have criticised almost every show i have watched if I felt something was off about it. Will never justify Rohit but I get where he is coming from.

There were 2 options for writers. Either they have to show Rohit's love realization before Raima wakes up from coma or after she wakes up from coma. They went for first option 😊 BDW when I watched the first promo of the show I thought that their love story will be a slower process where they will go for casual dates, then slowly get to know each other, accept each others shortcomings, accept each other commitment towards respective work, start feeling comfortable with each other and then decide to get married and then struggles of two people belonging to different professions in married life. But now the love story is as dramatic as any other ITV show. Ek pal mein I love you dusre pal mein I hate you😕I guess trp pressure doesn't let the writers establish the depth of relationship between two individuals and that is why the relationships appear hollow at times

Humans err...else we would be almighty. But humans have brains to think and repent, or admit their mistakes when they realise their faults. I think most of us who are disappointed with rohit had put him up at a special place, different from usual ITV Male leads. Now that he has turned out to be a usual Male lead, we cant help but point out his glaring character deficiencies

That was what was projected in the promo. So I felt it was a breezy slice of life kinda drama. But alas.
