Why did no one realise that Sailesh was talking to Mhatre?

No one else realised that Sailesh was talking to the Mhatre who killed his wife and because of whom Sonakshi is facing so much trouble.

There must be several persons with the same surname. Maybe that is why no one thought that it was the same person.

Rohit and Sonakshi knew that Sailesh worked for Mhatre and so they were able to deduce that it was the same Mhatre who called Sailesh.

Yup. Mahtre is a very common surname among Maharashtrians, it's like Sharma or Gupta in north.

And you are right, Aakash was unaware Sailesh worked for Sonakshi's mahtre and couldn't make the connection

It was weird while he kept saying Mhatreji...

At least akash should have doubted him but as if he turned deaf at that moment.

Though lots of people has the same surname but still one people should have asked Sailesh if he0's talking with the same Mhatre they are searching for.

That is what I liked. They have shown it very realistic way. Chachu and Sona maid didn't knew which Mhatre he is talking to. They just heard Mhatre and ignored. But when highlighted, they both helped to join the dots.

Also another reason why no one connected the dots was because the festivities was on top of everybody's minds. Sailesh is just a waiter. Not Mhatre's right hand or an important person for others to scrutinize him closely.
