He had signed the contract for just one year and also signed a movie before which was suppose to be shot after the contract of Rajni Kant was over.But Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant was a hit and the makers and channel decided to continue with the show.Karan even requested for an extension of few months from his film's producers which he got but after a point it wasn't possible since he had to start the shooting for the film.

And he signed the film and Rajni Kant around the same time so it's not like he left the show because he got a better role.

I have watched quite a lot of his shows like a show on star plus (forgot the name, his name was raj there), then there was Yahan mai Ghar Ghar Kheli, Punar Vivah, Bahu Humari Rajnikant and now this show. I liked all these shows till certain tracks. As far as I remember, he only quit Bahu Humari Rajnikant, I have not seen all his shows so Idk about those. And he had a valid reason for quitting the show, I actually didnt like the story after the leap(when Karan quit)

He has a good show selection, he selects most of the right scripts, but it is the tradition of ITV to get their shows spoiled after around 100 or 200 episodes, so its not his fault here. And I hope they maintain the charm of this show, so far its going good(just minus some of the unrealistic/unrelateable scenes)
