So the makers have decided to dedicate at least a few minutes every episode to teach the audience how much ITV shows not only entertain but also inspire the viewers. Will they have the guts to show that these serials have negative influence too?

Makers have taken a light-hearted and fun way to depict the influence ITV can have on TV viewers.
We all know that GoT v/s ITV-supernatural comparison is absolutely lame. But it is placed to show the gradual change in Rohit's perspective on TV actors. In the initial episodes Rohit mocked (in a fun way, but sometimes also going overboard where it turned out to be rude) Sona all the time but Sona put up with it decently.
When the general idea of Rohit about TV actors was that they are dumb and earn popularity without hardwork, no one had a problem. That's wrong because even if a show works or not the actors and every one involved in it work round the clock. They have crazy busy schedules.
Now Sona has put forward her opinion, yeah it's lame but it's her opinion/justification. And no way Rohit is fully convinced with her, because he again makes fun of Nag Nagins at the breakfast table.
Anyway, negative influence of TV... Why not?! I think they'll totally incorporate both the good and bad sides, may be with grains of salt!

Hey Sahana... hows you! Good to see a post from you here :D
Anee thanks, where were you? Was looking forward to your essays in this forum but what happened? Are you free now, is your sister still at your place?
They had so many chances to accept the negative influence even jokingly while Rohit was trolling ITV shows but they justified everything with 'jasbaat' & 'magic'. So I don't think they'll accept that there are negative influences of our serials.

Rohit didn't buy any of that just like us. So let's wait and see.

I'm around, just not regularly visiting IF. Was super busy and too occupied, sister was around, and some family medical emergencies... I should be free from this weekend onward...
Well been following the show religiously... watch every episode like twice thrice and even my sister (the other one) likes the show... so I don't even have to fight like I had to for KCL... but honestly, I since the characters are still developing I feel its too early to make statements and write essays... I'll give it another couple of weeks...
Also, there are just so many amazing storylines, this Rohan Sippy guy and his wife, then the chachu chachi... and the backstory of Sonakshi's father... the characters are still building and so is the story...
I tend to agree with JaneFoster. Rohit just stopped arguing after Sonakshi's explanation... he didn't buy it...
And I think they might talk about the negative effects of TV but not as clearly... maybe between the lines. But I would still give it a couple more weeks to know what direction the show is going...
For now, I am loving Sonakshi and Rohit... solo and together!
