June 21st: Some thoughts to end the week

I just caught up with today's epi now and the precap stood out to me for the scene b/w Sonakshi and Sumit.

Seems like Sonakshi too has a past? Sumit seemed to mention an ex-boyfriend who left Sonakshi, and she seemed quite upset about it as she slapped Sumit.

I'd be curious to see the development of this back angle so that it fleshes out more of Sonakshi's personality beyond the TV industry debate.

Baaki the bargaining games b/w Nishi and Suman were funny😆 and Rohit's mom is adorable.

I'm still kinda surprised by how 'normal' Rohit's family is....yeah they are filthy rich and mostly obsessed with how much money they have/spend or who's jewelery was better but there seems to be genuine warmth in the family.....barring the father-son awkwardness b/w Rohit and his dad.

Some other noteworthy things:

• The breaking of the fourth wall isn't the only trope the writers are using....lol I was amused to see the scene in Nishi's clinic where the alter egos of both Suman and Nishi were talking to them as they attempted to haggle their way through reducing the inauguration fee😆.....seems like the writers are having fun with these theatrical tropes.

• Sonakshi grappling with a MeToo issue in the form of the perverted Sumit and her having to handle it tactfully in order to be able to keep doing her job.

• I like the way Dipika plays Sonakshi....there is a gentle warmth to her in many bits....the only time Sonakshi puts me off is in preaching mode....otherwise I like how she handles most things....with a level of confidence and 'can do' spirit.

• Rohit ki shaadi ki baatein already doing the rounds in the family.....lol but ofcourse.

• Sonakshi grappling with a MeToo issue in the form of the perverted Sumit and her having to handle it tactfully in order to be able to keep doing her job. yeah i was a bit skeptical at that point caz am scarred of the way me too was handled in another show*ahem* and i was like NOOOOOO itni jaldi don't get into these gyani baba zone and was like ab gadbad hoga ya wohi cliche hero saving the girl but sona using her dimaag and handling him surprised me i also liked her saying specifically that one has to learn how to avoid and get out of these situations too if they have to work thode tactics seekhne padte hain one has to learn tricks and be self sufficient in order to survive. Point Being it doesn't mean these tactics always work but one can't just wait for all buraai to end and be an angle if one has to survive they have to deal with countless daily struggles and be smart

• I like the way Dipika plays Sonakshi....there is a gentle warmth to her in many bits....the only time Sonakshi puts me off is in preaching mode....otherwise I like how she handles most things....with a level of confidence and 'can do' spirit. yeah she has this softness and quality to kinda makes the audience apna. This is more deepika thing though as much as i have seen her in BB she really is able to make that audience connect and has a kind of genuineness and honesty in her portrayal so far. i feel she is connecting to sonakshi as deepika too and hence she is much more at ease playing this role. From whatever little of Simar i have seen she used to struggle a bit there and would try too hard at times but here she fit like a glove int he character and so early on. Good for her .. I hope they are able to keep her sane

• Rohit ki shaadi ki baatein already doing the rounds in the family.....lol but ofcourse. Shaadi nahi Swyamvar i am vary of that bua they were mentioning though seems like a villain and a typical one by the talks of family let's see but what i really appreciate was how normal the family was and how they were all for once were all getting along so well and nobody as of now seemed jealous or seemed to have any hidden agendas against each other phew

I think her flashback story wud b showwn soon. I have heard romil chaudhary ....her big boss rival is playing that part and they hv already shot also.

Now he just have a cameo or a full fledged role ....that i m not sure.

I'd be curious to see the development of this back angle so that it fleshes out more of Sonakshi's personality beyond the TV industry debate. yup and the way she got defensive and stood up for herself as seems like sumit was implying that her BF left her due to her character . what i feel is it is that BF was the patient and is the unknown link between rohit and sonakshi. may he died or he is alive somewhere and is in coma or something so he hasn't technically left sonakshi as such or maybe somehow she got him into an accident and feel she si responsible in some way caz she has the mark too adn then she seems rather upset in the park. will have to wait but i like the slap it was defensive and fiery, it also almost felt like she did it not only for tuhmat on herself but in her bf's defence too . let's see

I'm still kinda surprised by how 'normal' Rohit's family is....yeah they are filthy rich and mostly obsessed with how much money they have/spend or who's jewelery was better but there seems to be genuine warmth in the family.....barring the father-son awkwardness b/w Rohit and his dad. there seems to be more there it is not just usual awkwardness i felt there is a slight strain but it was nice them being able to sit int he same room and be part of family conversations without making things awkward for everyone and be normal about everything. as i said on top too the family bonding was very very nicely done they felt like a regular family which is totally Normal so far in every way. i have to say the moment they introduced the mom fromt he back in kitchen i got scared and went gayi bhains paani main OTT mom lagti hain but then the way her character progressed from there and the way she explained why she insists on saving money dil jeet lia i liked how loveable she was in her save every penny and cmae as a samjhdar woman rather than kanjoos and her bond with rohit is super cute again what a refreshing change to see a mother doting on her son but they are more like friends she cares for him looks after his things etc but not clingy or extra possessive all that running behind him to find his things came across really well in a more caring mother way then being the abnormal mother way i really liked rohit and maa very nice dynamic there.

uhhhh i take my words back then i am pretty sure he will be an A** and sonakshi really stood up for herself then . romil and nice in anyway just doesn't work HAHAHAH fake vakil sahib has left wakalat for acting kya gosh and that man used to call deepika fake 🤣🤣 when his entire existence in BB was based on a Lie that he is Vakil for real

Just watched the episode...Precap is what caught my attention..looking forward to it...rest of the episode i felt kinda filler...May be it is just me the bargaining thing between Nishi and Sonakshi's mom i felt kinda bored and FFed it lol...And Sumit is getting on my nerves...liked the family scene of Rohit's family side in their house

I liked how they executed that scene with Sonakshi's mom and Dr Nishi using alter egos... it made a regular comedy filler scene a lot more engaging!! And looks like this whole bargaining would come to nothing when Sonakshi will refuse to take any money.

I'm curious about the precap. I wonder whether Sonakshi's ex has something to do with that September 26th incident. It's interesting how there seems to be some backstory connecting Rohit and Sonakshi.

Dipi as Sonakshi said na in one episode that sometimes they have to work with people with whom they don't click but onscreen everything is fine! Now it's in real!

Yep, it does seem more like flashes of Dipika’s own personality put in and that is why it looks more natural.

Also, doesn’t she kinda remind you of SC in terms of persona? The warmth, nurturing nature part is very reminiscent of SC. Baaki toh SC is way more jhalli 😂
