@bold: looking at it from his POV, I would say that is 100% true for him. He doesn't care what Netra says or does and doesn't try to reprimand her because to him, he has no right to do so. But with Appu, he has every right and responsibility to correct her especially because Dr.K told him to do so before the marriage that Shashank would have to be the understanding and patient person and make Appu understand what is right and wrong. We've actually had that monologue from him 2-3 times, once right after marriage when Appu says fake I love you to him and he thinks I will have to handle this girl with love sometimes and with anger other times. and then again during their stay in Vartak house when he asks her if there is anything in her that would make him fall in love, he feels bad seeing Appu silent and even thinks that he might have said too much but instantly justifies it by saying that he has to be strict with her because everyone else only pampers her, so for her betterment, he needs to be the strict one (I just watched this episode so I remember it clearly).

Right now, he is still in more disciplinarian role with Appu rather than husband...he was slowly shifting to the husband role during B&B's first wedding but Netra entered and pushed him back into the first mode.

I don't think he can fire her even if he wants to. He's stated before that this is the institute's decision not mine so what can I do (I think it was during the reception when Mansi tells him to stop working with HC). And he is too sanskari to slap a women I think. Although realistically speaking, I would say he could complain to HR and get her removed from his vicinity (if such a thing exists in Indian workplaces, no offense but I have no idea)

netra ne pakka work excuse diya hoga kaushik ko. How conveniently she takes advantage of kaushi ki affectionate nature ka. She really uses and abuses people and relation both for her own interest.

@bold: she really does! very cunning and black-hearted person. I don't think she cares for anyone other than herself not even for BS.

rest family would support appu’s and say we know she would not lie. But at this point appu would say I also want to go for sometime. That time I did not for DK and also I promised netra tai, will not tell about her to baba.

That is a total possibility. And this time, since DK isn't there either, no one would be able to stop her really or more importantly stop Dr.K from taking Appu, cuz the only one Dr.K listens to is DK.

Although I have to say, I'm not a big fan of Dr.K to begin with. I get the doting father side of him cuz of guilt of taking her away from Anjali and over-compensating the absence by spoiling her but he can't just expect her in-laws and especially her husband to bear all her tantrums and fix all his mistakes without reprimanding Appu. I especially hated how he immediately started talking at Shashank during the reception when Appu comes crying. As a father to Appu, he wins but as a father in general and father-in-law, he's an absolute failure to me.

Lol when i started watching this show,,,i was like what kind of father says now since you failed your exam and I found a good family i am gona get you married….i cant bare your tantrums anymore…

What I am saying ke yes i agree with you that he may not be the best…but for appus respect i love him how he speaks to dbs…he is the only person who will show dbs his place…(since drunken drama i feel this)

Good thing i remind myself it’s fictional show….but my father would have like go pass your exams first and no phones for you ….shaadi to door ki baat hoti….

I totally agree with both of you on Khadus not caring about netra or worried about what she does in her personal,life as it’s not his business. But he does care for appu and wants her to be successful, so he tries to direct her by different ways, mostly by hurting her by his words or yelling at her. He so far has appreciated her twice openly. In his Heart few times and added Shisht after his thought like she says Khadus😆

that is correct he can not fire her, as it is institutes decision and she is working with him on same project but not on his funded project. Yes he can complain to department chair about removing her but it could swing either way, one of it is can kill her career. And I guess he does not want to take that risk as he is pro science and does not want to kill or harm anyone’s career by his action and he is the type of scientist who takes good care of their juniors and coworkers.

That might be the reason why DK or kuki is not at the picnic. So it will be perfect storm.

I think we have been waiting since episode 200 ke appu Dr.K ke ghar chali jaye…ab tak to hua nahi….but this picnic may fulfill our wish warna pata nahi yeah kab hoga..…yeah not knowing/ no promos dont help us much

Yes I agree with you. Sometimes he's the only one who can knock some sense into BS, that's why I said he's a good father to Appu, but he also defends her too much even when she is wrong so I don't like that

Yea same! If I failed exams like that, my parents would be like, we are cutting you off from the world, go study! 😆
