Hi all!

I'm new to the Marathi version of the show and at the part after their wedding

I've been loving this show though I only get to watch little little as my mom skips ahead all the timesmiley39

This is such a positive show and I love the way everything gets resolved so fast! And I love this version of family and even Appu Shashank are cute!

But I just have one question, does Shashank ever says anything other than "Netra!" in response whenever she insults Appu? Like she says such horrible things to her! And Shashank only scolds Apurva? He allows such freedom to Netra? smiley19

Does he ever give her a good long scolding?

Shashank is no longer a kid and definitely not of the kind to whom you can show the mirror reflecting his wrongdoings. He has to find that mirror by himself for him to see that what he did... sucked.

I am still so not sure how they're going to make him find that mirror but I am pretty hopeful that something good is on the way.

I am also with you on this...I'm glad they are not intervening...they did what they could to give him a chance to rectify and they are trying to make him realize his mistake in a subtle way but sometimes when someone is wrong, telling them they are wrong to their face makes them even more stubborn.

I think family knows that it's no use telling him anything, since they've done so before with little effect so they are just letting him figure it out themselves...Otherwise, it will be their opinions rubbing off on him like before which won't be strong and he won't be able to form his own feelings for Appu. I hope he finds that mirror soon when he comes back, before they destroy his character anymore.😭

BTW, how are you feeling now? Fever gone?

There are a couple of scenes that he says something but it's no more than a sentence or two and he does sort of give it back to her during their reception. Problem is that it isn't strong enough...the current track was the worst as it was an addition to OG and it just ended with Netra but we are still waiting for Shashank's redemption.

So true! 🤣 It was the first girl that he was truly attracted to and the fact that it was his wife just gave him license to go over the board with his thoughts. And with HC entry, he brought himself and all of us back down to earth to remind us why Appu actually calls him Khadus...

I don't mind not getting the lover boy back but I just want the old idiot back soon so that we can truly enjoy their scenes!

This is an unpopular opinion but I have faith in him——I am not justifying his recent past behavior with Appu but I will say that I am sure he will correct his wrongs.

We know that he is a genius but when it comes to emotions or understanding another person (as it was some mentioned multiple times in the beginning of the show), he can’t comprehend them (except his own family members as they have been there all this life).

Now we also know that he has been pampered by every member of his family (old or young). He has always been valued and given much importance. We also know that above all he values his family and his work—-we can imply that education is very high in the ranks for him.

So now knowing all this about him and now in comes this girl who is the complete opposite of him and brings laughter and craziness into his life (won’t go into many details). His life all weird and it takes him sometime to get accustomed to some of Apurva. He loves that she stands strong for his family and loves them. When he sees this aspect, his heart swells. He also lives when she worries about him. But then he remembers that Apu also has the tendency to lie and everything is about fun for her and nothing else, he gets angry and can’t accept it.

I absolutely can’t and will not justify the fact that he thinks Apu would push Netra (that’s just his plain distrust in her and he needs to work on that and I think he will to show his growth). She is not evil and he knows it but again he can’t read people even now.
He has changed in terms of accepting her crazy ideas and laughs more than he did before. This is the growth they have shown in him.
As for the bed mess—he thinks Kukki gang always has crazy ideas and they are together in it

Studying drama—again from his pov not the first time Appu in her childishness and unintentionally has hurt him and he thinks she views everything as a joke and played with his feelings once again as in the Kukki farmhouse track ….this I understand

Again, does this give him right to say all those harsh words to her? absolutely not but will he get better? I think he will and that will be their relationship growth

It takes longer than a couple months to change.
Appu was always a sweetheart and thought from her heart—she just was lonely and needed love and attention which she got from the Kanetkars.

The ML and FL here actually sometimes remind me of the Korean show, Playful Kiss. I don’t know if anyone here has watched it (the story is somewhat diff) but the ML is a genius and FL not good in studies at all. The ML in that show loosens up but doesn’t change his personality.

Anyway not to make this post any longer, all I am saying is just sit back, relax and have faith in the TR we have grown to love. Vasaikar will show growth in DBS character. 😊

I agree with you 100% Arshia! Shashank has always been like this and living with Appu and slowly accepting her craziness was changing him but you can't change a person's actual nature in couple of months...it's going to take time for him to truly accept her as she is. Just like it's going to take time for Appu to learn what is important for him and what isn't and that there are some things in life that she can't joke through.

NOT AT ALL supporting his actions. Just saying that apart from believing that Appu can push Netra, he actually has a basis to believe that Appu might do the bed drama or study drama because of her own actions in the past combined with Kukki Gang. But even then, his words were too extreme and he will fix it himself once he realizes it. Then, he will slowly change his personality and perception for her but he won't be able to change himself from being the Khadus that he is like his serious nature or giving importance to education. 😆
