Same! I don't think we would have been so disappointed if we didn't have an idea of the future track. We were happy before that she wasn't leaving after just watching them sing because we liked the maturity they showed in Appu during that sequence. Let's hope for the same now and watch it like we don't know what the future track is supposed to be.

Let's see how Vasaikar puts his twist into this whole track and wait for DBS to get back to Khadus form properly instead of just glimpses here and there.

I agree, we had certain expectations due to our knowledge of the OG story. Had we not known how the story or track would run, we would have been angry at BS and that would been it. We wouldn’t have expected her to leave the house especially after she kept saying how this was her house and her family.

So, I think it screwed all of our emotions. TR has always been a light hearted family show and we have never before been disappointed. Right now, outside factors such as the lack of availability of actors have affected the storyline a bit but I am certain it will go back on track and we will get our show back.

From here on, the less we know of OG the better for us. Let’s just take it one at a time.

Also think about her dialogues those she said to netra,

This is my family my house I am not going to go any where or leaving. Then if she leaves then it looks foolish. Sua told her to possess her rights, they all confronted Babi for leaving her house and bhaskar so after all this if they let appu go or she goes by herself it would have felt hypocritical and a bit disconnected episode to episode. This way by showing she wanted to go to protect her self respect but family did not let her go makes sense. This is mature appu. Growth in character. If it’s old appu she would not listen to anyone and leave.
I my self’s was wondering how it’s gonna fit with her leaving after what she said to netra about kanitakar Khadus and herself.

Episode 213: Kanetkar Thali with Salt

Starts with Appu packing her suitcase in Babi’s room thinking about DBS yelling at her after the drama. Sumi & Sua Aai come there and tell her that she can go back to her room. Sua Aai says that I’ve sent Netra back to her house and now no one can come between her and DBS. Appu doesn’t respond and just goes and hugs Sua Aai and just says I’ll leave without listening to them yelling at her from behind and Sumi says is she about to leave the house?

DK & VB are talking about some songs when DK sees Appu coming down the stairs with her suitcase and asks her where she’s going. Appu says that she is going to her dad’s house.

Sumi is talking to DBS in his room. She tells him that Appu is leaving and to stop her. DBS says that it’s just another drama like her studying drama. Sumi asks don’t you understand love? DBS says people say the truth in love but here there is lies in everything. Sumi tells DBS that Appu wanted to spend time with him that’s why she was studying which she doesn’t even like and wanted to win his heart. She continues that she even said that she just kept looking at him and you are not seeing anything more than her lie. If you had looked at her properly, you would have seen her love. Sumi warns him that because of his behavior, he will lose a girl like Appu forever. DBS ignores Sumi and she leaves but DBS is thinking (looked hurt?)

Fam is in the open area and Appu says that she was thinking of her Baba. DK: don’t lie and tell me the truth. Appu says that she knows that she is a misfit in this house, Odd girl out. DBS comes and watches everything from upstairs. DK asks if someone said anything to her but Appu denies. Appu makes a comparison of her as Pizza/Pasta and the rest of the family as Maharastrian Thali (sorry I don’t know the dishes to give a proper translation). Basically she compares every member of the family to a dish and says that Pizza/Pasta doesn’t have a place in this Thali and that Netra was absolutely right about her being unfit for this family. DK tries to stop her but Sua Aai says that she is right and she is misfit.

Sua Aai continues that after eating Thali all the time, we wait for the day we get to eat Pizza/Pasta. She asks her what should they do when she won’t be there and leave only after answering her but Appu says I don’t know. She asks them not to stop her and let her leave. DK refuses to let her leave and asks who said something to her (looks toward DBS). Appu takes her bad and is leaving and stops and looks at DBS before leaving. DK stops her and says that he won’t stop her but it’s late so at least eat and leave and that Sua Aai even gave HC dabba before leaving.

Elders (minus Kukki) are serving Appu meal in the kitchen bringing up her comparison of dishes from before. Mai says that they are making sure that she doesn’t forget them after leaving since that thought came into her mind. Appu eats but says that it doesn’t taste like always. DK says of course it will be different because the salt is missing from the Kanetkar Thali. Sua Aai says that once she leaves, all of them will have to get used to eating such tasteless/saltless food. DK says that without her their life would be tasteless. Sua Aai then asks now you do decide if you want to stay or leave. VB asks why are you punishing us for DBS’s words? Panna says yea you don’t talk to DBS. DK says her every family fights. Mai says fights don’t mean that you leave the house. DK says that there is no family that doesn’t fight. He says that when 4 people live together, arguments, fights, and taunting happens. But family is when after all these things, they still live together as one. Sua Aai says that sometimes dishes don’t cook well (too much water, not boiled enough, etc…) but salt is what makes them good again. Appu says that she won’t leave the house but says that she also has a condition that DBS has to apologize.

Appu says that she didn’t do anything wrong this time. Sua Aai tells DK that she is absolutely right. Appu says that she won’t talk to him until he apologizes. DK says ok, whether you two want to talk or not talk or fight, that’s between you husband and wife. DK tells Vittu Baba about what Appu told Netra (that no matter how much she fights with Khadus, these are her people, this is her house, and this is her family.) Appu asks how do you know? DK says that he is everyone’s Baap. DK says so it’s decided that the salt will not leave the Kanetkar Thali and asks the ladies to make sure Appu eats well and then asks Vittu Baba to come with him to talk about something important.

Scene shifts to Appu & DBS in their room with Appu on the bed looking at her phone in night clothes and DBS pacing beside the bed looking at her and waiting for to say something/react to him but she doesn’t response. DBS asks what happened, You didn’t go? You gave such a big bashan, got everyone’s sympathy and attention but didn’t go. Appu doesn’t respond. DBS calls her Shist and says I’m talking to you but Appu still doesn’t respond. Kukki, Sumi, and Amey come there with some posters and markers and ignore DBS. Amey pushes DBS out of the way to sit on the bed. DBS asks them what’s all this and says are you going to make an exhibition/art show in our room. Gang ignores him and Sumi tells Appu that Prachi gave her all these and Appu says that her work will be easier now. Kukki asks how does she feel after coming back to her room after so long. Appu says that she is very happy and that she understood that she isn’t an odd person in this family but is actually an important person. She says that she is salt and explains the salt analogy to the gang and says that this family is incomplete and tasteless/saltless without her. DBS asks which foolish person told her all this? Appu says Amey Dada, and indirectly answers that DK told her all this. She then says that DK would feel bad and get angry if he hears that someone called him foolish. Amey says he would go and tell him. DBS stops him and says that he didn’t mean that to DK and that DK has spoiled her and starts his usual sentence about how if she doesn’t study then how will she pass and get first class. Gang ignores him. Sumi tells Appu that she is going to leave to her Sasural tomorrow because she needs to take Aai to her doctor’s appointment. Kukki says that we are also going to office tomorrow. Appu says what am I going to do without everyone? Kukki says that they will come back early and then enjoy together. Gang leaves.

DBS asks if she doesn’t think that she could study without disturbance if no one is home and only thinks about enjoyment. Appu ignores him and writes on the paper even as he calls her. Appu shows him the paper which reads “Say sorry to me or I won’t talk to you”. DBS says he isn’t wrong so he won’t apologize. Appu writes “SORRY maan” in bigger letters. DBS says absolutely not, if you don’t want to talk to me that’s fine. If you are quiet, then my head/mind will also be quiet and there’s no need to talk. Appu puts pillows between them on the bed and sleeps on her side of the bed as DBS sleeps on his side. He removes his glasses and watch and looks towards Appu but she ignores him.

Precap: DBS is holding a poster that says he has a flight at 4 for Delhi. Appu holds another poster asking why (It also has “I don’t want to talk to you” written on it) DBS writes conference. Appu holds up another poster asking if HC is also coming but she misspells Netra so DBS chuckles and says that it’s their mother tongue so she should know and corrects her spelling on the poster. DBS then tells Appu that he is going alone. Appu turns away from him but gives a small smile to herself.

YES! to be honest, I don't like the idea of leaving the house, not just in this situation but for any girl to have to leave her "Sasural". Like it's her house as much as anyone elses so why should she leave? She has just as much right to stay there as anyone else. Isn't it the saying/belief that once a girl is married, she becomes paraya dhan to her own family. So what is a girl's house then after marriage? Like she is a stranger in her maayka but also doesn't have rights on her sasural? That's total crap to me.

And I agree that after all the fights Appu had with Netra claiming the house and the family and even DBS to an extent, it would have been weird if she had left right now. But at the same time, maybe her leaving was needed for DBS to start thinking properly again. 🤔

Right now, I'm just going to watch like this is a new show without the expectation from the OG (looks like OG had it's fair share of stupid tracks and flaws so I'm gonna treat this as one for TR and go with the flow)

ML apni sali ke kehne par wife ko distrust karta hai uski insult karta hai. Sasural wale FL ka sath dete hai , FL ghar chhodkar nahi jati but ML ko kyu mast silent treatment deti hai 👍🏼

ML apni mistakes realize karne me time leta hai, but after some time use regret feel hota hai apne harsh behavior par. But attitude itna ki sorry nahi bolta woh fl se.

Par khud se promise karta hai ki aaj ke bad kabhi bhi FL ko distrust nahi karunga and serial end hone tak apna promise nibhata bhi hai 👏

On a lighter note, where are the writers getting all these metaphors/analogies/symbolisms from???? Pehle two wheeler, then the scooter, then the puppy for DBS, then the reusing old books for B&B, and now Pizza/Pasta, Maharashtrian Thali and Salt! 🤣👏

Yes that tracks sounds very good too. Redemption tracks and apologizes for everything happen in an ideal world but sometimes just realization and not repeating the mistakes is enough too. If not a redemption like we want, then I'm sure we will at least see that here!

Yes redeemtion track nahi to atleast DBS ko apni mistakes khud se hi realize ho gayi and use regret feel ho raha hai. Aisa kuch dikhao 👍🏼

Tumne sahi kaha ki har bar ghar chhodkar chale jana yahi option nahi hota.but DBS jabtak apni galti nahi manta tabtak shappu se connected feel karna difficult ho jayega 😭

Is liye time lekar hi sahi but vasaikar plz DBS ko guilty feel jarur karwana. And sorry na bole to bhi chalega, but aisi mistakes ab future me kabhi bhi repeat na kare bas!!

Pata nahi but analogy and metaphors are good. Then whose that stupid who said it was the best and Amey ‘s reply not me was too good.
I finally watched episode and it felt at right place. Daada asked her same questions that I just mentioned above.
I liked episode as story is flowing well. We can connect with characters. Even though they are communicating but she is not talking to him and it will bother him sooner or later. She is still gussa.
