- Though Anubhav is confessing his love to Gungun, going on a date, feeding her paneer kabab, telling her he will die if she is not there, he is always angry and scolding her. Because he thinks Gungun is the one who is stopping him telling the truth to the K family. He thinks its Gungun who wants to hide her husband's name that's why not letting him tell the truth. He himself is super irritated with Akriti and he thinks Gungun razi ho jaye, I will get rid of Akriti and tell my family that Gungun is my wife.
- I don't think Anubhav ever liked Akriti, he literally started hating her after Akriti slapped Gungun. He married Akriti because he was hurt about what happened in the party. He lost his love. His hate for Akriti just increased to thousand fold with time. In the hospital or today's scene, he hated Akriti all the time. That's why He doesn't feel guilty cheating Akriti.
- His major mistake was late realization--- he came back from Mandir, married Akriti- he was not in his proper mind set at that time. He married a girl (in temple) he despised the most. He didn't realize the truth. The truth that he already has fallen in love with Gungun, may be from the time he first met her.
- I don't think he even noticed Akriti, he was like a robot following the rituals. For him the ring gifted by Gungun was much more important than those rituals.
- His love realization hit him when Riddhesh had the heart attack.
- When Gungun came and didn't take his name, he thought Gungun doesn't want to tell everyone the truth. And thus he is always pestering her to accept him to let him tell the truth to his family.
- But Gungun not letting him because he hurt her pride by marrying Akriti.
Anyway this is how makers are trying to justify Anubhav's actions. Which is totally unacceptable.
The main reason is what I understood is makers trying to avoid the two things we want:
1. Anubhav telling his family and Akriti the truth.
2. Gungun going away from K family and have a independent life.
Today I understood the reason why:
Until recently, in movies male lead is given importance and females were just the love interest.
For ITV serials its the female lead who does everything- starting with reforming her inlaws, getting rid of bad boyfriend of unmarried sister in law, acting as detective (who can beat up strong villains with chappal wearing saree, jewelry and sindoor).
That's what makers wanted. Anubhav has to be spineless so that Gungun can start her fight against the kitchen politics.
For ITV, strong woman is not who stays alone in a city earning for herself. But a strong woman is who is best in winning kitchen politics.
Anubhav is nothing but the spineless love interest.
