Dev, very upset by Kaajjal's taking Ranvir's side and scolding him as a Dehati, then starts drinking heavily, shouting Kaajjal's name! He smashes the bottle after heavy drinking and starts walking down the middle of the road, thinking of all his interactions with Kaajjal ... and bangs into Kaajjal's Dad getting into his car nearby.
The Dad is upset to be faced with a drunkard leaning on him and putting his hand on the Dad's shouldder. He calls Dev an irresponsible guy, and Dev says drunkenly: "Don't think I have drunk for joy like you rich people at your parties. I have drunk from sorrow, but what do you know of that!" After more leaning on Kaajjjal's Dad, Dev moves as the Dad gets into his car.
Dev suddenly then realises he should have behaved better and tries to follow the car as it drives away, and Kaajjal's Dad gets even angrier at this drunk trying to fall on his car.
Meanwhile Kamayani congratulates her brother at his success at winning Kaajjal's attention. He asks how Dev knows Kaajjal, and she explains that those two love birds are in love, but she is too rich and precious to be wasted on the dehati Dev.
Kamayani then shows her brother the TV where she is actually 24 hours keeping a camera on Dev in his house and knows his every movement and whenever he makes plans to meet Kaajjal etc. etc. They both see Dev on that TV screeen, in sorrow and drunk at his house ... and as they watch this, Kamayani tellss to her brother that he should try to meet his prospective father-in-law that evening at a party she will host ... while she will settle Dev off the love scene herself!
At his house Kaajjal's Dad is raving and fuming about the drunk youth when Kamayani rings him to invite him to the party at her house ... specially for "Sir Dhanraj Khanna!"
Meanwhile Kamayani goes to see Dev at his house playing the same signature tune in sorrow. She says she knows he is pining for Kaajjal's love, but he should let that love go as there's too much status difference between him and Kaajjal. Dev says he also used to think that - but then realised that love is bigger than any such difference!
Kamayani has no choice but to pretend that she sees the truth of this statement ... she says then that she will help Dev's love for Kaajjal ... and he swears he will become the world's greatest singer. She looks evil but tries to smile through all this conversation!
She then invites him also to her party and says he can inaugurate his singing there!
At the party that evening Kaajjal is heavily dressed in green ... and her father is very nattily attired too. Kamayani makes a big show of introducing him to all and the press people gathered there as "Sir Danny Khanna" and he is terribly impressed that she even knows his petname, and impressed at her "international style" of hosting parties!
Kamayani then introduces her brother and Ranvir acts very gentlemanly, shakeds dad's hand and compliments Kaajjjal on her beauty, whereupon the Dad is even more impressed with the fine young man.
He moves little distance away with Kamayani, from the two young people, and he learns that they already know each other. As Kamayani continues to introduce the Dad to even more big guests, the Dad looks over his shoulder at Kaajjal and Ranvir in close conversation ...
... and he thinks "Maybe this search of Kaajjal for something precious in India will be answered by Ranvir?" Kamayani sees him looking at the two young people and gives a wicked smile. They freeze on Dad's smug expression!
