Kaajjal is woken up early morning by the shrieking voice of Sweety thrilled to be talking on phone to her bua Hottie (her father's distant cousin sister) who is going to come for the wedding from Mussoorie … when Kaajjal hears about this news from Sweetie, she suddenly gets flashes of Mussoorie in her mind, and tells Sweetie it sounds too familiar ... but Sweetie brushes off these thoughts, saying everyone knows there's a town called Mussoorie!
Sweetie then proceeds to show a photo of her bua to Kaajjal … when Kaajjal sees this picture of Hottie as she was twenty years ago as a girl, she gets all kinds of memories and flashbacks of herself as if speaking to Hottie … she is very agitated and tells Sweetie she has definitely met this person, but Sweetie says how can it be possible? She says Hottie has never come out of Mussoorie in twenty years and Kaajjal has come from London only now to India ever!
Meanwhile Dadi is visited by the lady Bantu who is now trying to push her lousy son as a marriage alliance for Kaajjal. She has already tried and failed to get Sweetie as a daughter in law ... but now again both Daadi and Kaajjal also spurn the proposal, so she gets furious and goes straight to Bunty's mom ... and tells her that Sweetie has manglik dosh in her kundali which will kill her future husband.
As Sweetie and Bunty are exchanging romantic words over phone this bombshell falls on the whole Sweetie household ... when Bunty's father comes there to cancel the marriage. He says he and Bunty are OK about the marriage but his wife has been brainwashed by this Bantu.
Kajjal cannot bear to see Sweetie heartbroken and tells Bunty's father the whole story of Bantu's proposals being spurned and begs him to reconsider and continue with the marriage.
Kaajjal tells him true love will always triumph over kundali dosh! She sounds like she knows about these things!
Meanwhile its time to pick up Hottie bua from the bus stand, but Sweetie's mood is spoilt and weeping and she begs Kaajjal to go instead to pick her up ... as she can recognise bua from the photograph she showed her.
Kaajjal agrees, but at the bus stand she bangs into Dev who apparently also has been sent by some Chacha to pick up the same bua.
Kaajjjal and Dev as usual exchange angry words at each other as she says he is following her. She says its not his bus stand! He says its his town and he has a right to go where he wants …
Just then Hottie steps off the bus with a suitcase (in a saree with her hair in a bun like an elderly lady!) … Hottie bangs into the girl come to receive her who introduces herself as "Kaajjal" the cousin of Sweetie … this shocks Hottie to the core!
As Hottie is trying to recover, Kaajjal introduces Dev to Hottie as Devinder ... and he then vehemently gets into an argument with her that his name is Dev!
Hottie has a double whammy shock … she keeps repeating the names "Kaajjal" and "Dev" to herself ... as she watches these two fighting and her memories are stirred by their names and their fighting style … she is in utter shock!
