There are three stories that Ameesha is spinning to everyone related to the stone in the sandhook.:
One is the story that Ameesha is telling Veer and he also believes it - that the stone when it turns to a shiny manik will make Dev die ...especially if someone he loves comes into his life such as Kaajjal. Since this is the fiction that Ameesha has told Veer and also intends to tell the family (maybe she has kept such a scroll in the sandhook also!) and because Veer has only heard this part of the curse in the Sid baba's voice, he too believes that the sandhook raaz will hurt Dev, especially if he is associated with Kaajjal.
The second fiction that Ameesha has told Dev is that there is some curse in Dev's life which is killing whoever he loves ... even when he got married to Payal she had warned Nayan mom not to go ahead with the wedding, but they did, and the result was that Payal died. So if Dev does not want Kaajjjal to end up dead like Payal, he should forget Kaajjal or make her hate him! This is the fiction that Ameesha has brainwashed Dev into believing!
Finally there is the real truth of this raaz that we heard in the preview clips ... where the Sid Baba is actually saying that any danger to Dev's life will be averted if he gives room in his heart for a girl, then that same girl will save him!
This truth has yet to come out, but we know that every time Dev is in danger Kaajjal does manage to save him..., eg. in the Lohri fire, and on the cliff etc.
