Ludhiana born, Vikas came to Mumbai to expand his family's import business when a MTV producer staying in the same building told him he was cut out for showbiz. Although the campus caper, Kyun Hota Hai Pyar, was his first TV serial, he was soon seen boogieing away with Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and played a stripper in Oops. He wasn't too keen on doing Swayam, till Ekta Kapoor assured him the 'this character is going to rock'. So Vikas became part of what is fondly referred to as Balaji's 'Pin-Up Show'. He's also playing Dron in K Street Pali Hill.
